There follows a sample transcription from one of Milton’s sermons, along with a comment about Milton Green by David Wilkerson:

The Church Asleep and In Bondage – excerpt

The powers of darkness have moved the church into pride.  A church is more concerned about what other people think than what God thinks.  A church full of pride holds up their image in respectability in the community.  A church full of pride wants the world to think they have it all together.

A church of pride does not see its own fault, looks somewhere else.  A church full of pride wants everyone to think they have it all put together.  Always right, can’t be wrong, refuses to admit is needy and afflicted.  Not looking inside, here is where the problem is, looking down the street, Coming apart inside, the world covers it over, the Pharisees of today.  A church full of pride refuses to admit they can’t meet their own needs.  Only God can meet their needs and He is not going to until they admit and call it what God calls it, then God can work.   Boasting in their own works rather than boasting in the works of God.

Brokenness is when a man comes into a place where he is more concerned about what God thinks about him than what people think about him, that is when brokenness comes into his life.  God wants to do some things in the church today, but how can God work through a church when the church is wiser than God.  They are saying God come down and co-operate with us, you can see what we are trying to do for you here.  God has to come on our terms.  Pride is too busy caught up making a name for itself.  The church today doesn’t want to be an expression of Jesus but an expression of itself because that is what it is making a name for.

2 Tim 4 talks about deceitful spirits in the Last Days. causing people to fall away.  Can a deceitful spirit deceive you?  Certainly can, that’s why God warns you about them.  A deceitful spirit can deceive you.  Let me ask you another question.  Are you too smart for deceitful spirits to deceive you?  No, because the smarter you think you are, the more deceived you are.  That is why God said he will humble the proud and exalt the humble.  He is the one who makes a name for folks.

The Bible says there will be doctrines of demons. Do you know what doctrines of demons is?  Should you know?  Demons can pervert doctrine.  There teams of demons every day working against you, every day, against you and each one of your family, to divide you and steal your relationships and divide you and your family and you and your relationship with God.  There are schemes, all the time.

If all the theology we receive comes from people who don’t understand this scripture right here, is it just possible that they could be deceived any, or are they too smart?

Do you know in most seminaries there is only just a vague reference to these scriptures here.  The pastors among you will know this. They don’t understand it. They are afraid of what people will say.

Does it matter what folks say, or what God says?

Did you know of anyone who had an easy time of it in this world when they start saying what God said?  Where is the persecution for the world’s sake, where is the world hating us?

John 10 tells us about the enemy and he will kill us,  He is destroying you and your family.  I know how he is doing it.  Stealing every relationship, where you work, where you live.  Once you have understanding about this you will learn, but while you are so intimidated by it, you can’t learn it.  If the people who are teaching us don’t understand this scripture, then where are they.

If our heart goes towards men, then where are we?  The Lord tells us He will lead us into all truth.

When you are measuring yourselves by yourselves, you don’t need the Bible.

I want to see Jesus glorified, I am not glorifying myself, or my church, or anyone.

You pick it up just like that when there is selfish ambition.  If I am making a name for myself, I am not glorifying Jesus.   My ministry has to look God, I go around boasting about my works, I am not doing the works of the Lord.

Introduction To Teachings By Brother Milton Green by David Wilkerson

I was first introduced to the ministry of Milton Green by our friend, Evangelist James Robison. He said, “You need to hear this man; his message is awesome. It has changed my life.”

At the time, I was in no mood to hear him or listen to any of his tapes. I had heard rumors that he was teaching “strange delusions,” that all he talked about was demons and that “Spirit-filled believers could be possessed by them.” Others told me he misused the Word of God by spiritualizing everything.

Recently I took the time to listen to his message. After the first message, I knew I was hearing a true word of repentance, holiness, and heart purity. After three messages, I was on my face before God, having been shattered by the hammer of God’s Word.

No other message of repentance had so touched me. He said very little about demons and there was not the slightest hint of doctrinal deviation.

I am convinced God has called Milton Green to be one of those chosen vessels to bring the church back to repentance and purity. God has given him a strong message searing, searching, yet healing and uplifting.

His critics do not know what he is teaching. Or, they seek to discount his message by digging up something he taught in his early ministry, when he was learning the precious truths God was revealing to him. Milton Green does not focus on demons: his is a powerful message of righteousness and heart repentance. Milton Green is without ambition; he is a humble servant; and his critics are touching one of the Lord’s greatly anointed. I would hope they are speaking against his ministry in ignorance. God help them.

I recommend his ministry without reservation. Every true believer, every God-hungry minister in this nation needs to hear what he is saying. You can listen to him in confidence. I promise you that a spiritual revelation will happen in your life; every idol will come down: and you will turn to Jesus Christ with the greatest love and adoration you’ve ever experienced.

It happened to me!
