There are tens of thousands of Christian denominations and numerous types and divisions within them. Whether Catholic, Mormon, Jehovah’s Witness, or more modern cults such as IHOP, or any of the many other Christian cults and sects old or new, within them are those who are genuine but deceived Christians, and ‘false’ Christians, along with ‘lukewarm’ or ‘worldly’ Christians.
People are often bewildered as to why there are so many Christian denominations, sects and cults, and confused as to which one of them, if any, could be the right one. False doctrine and bad practices cause problems enough, not the least of which is providing demonic doorways, or licence grounds.
Then there is a very broad array of evidence that there are some dark goings-on in the higher echelons of many of these churches. Although, generally speaking, it is carried out in great secrecy with the help of various ‘levels’ of knowledge, as in freemasonry, and so not much of it gets into the public domain.
Some stricter cults coach their followers not to pay attention to ‘the outside’ or any outside sources of information so that even when something is in the public domain, they are not aware of it.
“For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.” (1 Corinthians 11:18-19)

Often the various cults and sects do not rely only on the Bible – or their interpretation of it – but they have additional books which provide information about their beliefs and practices which are used alongside a Bible to ‘supplement’ or ‘clarify’ etc. the Bible whether a standard Bible or their own ‘translation’.
The Latter Day Saints have the Book of Mormon which they use alongside an AKJV bible. The Jehovah’s Witnesses have a whole library of many hundreds of publications throughout the decades since 1870 which they use along with their own Bible version. In addition, until fairly recently, two magazines were published every month, “Awake” and “The Watchtower”, but now only The Watchtower is published monthly, and Awake is an annual publication.
Christian Scientists have Mary Baker Eddy’s 1875 publication which she called the textbook of Christian Science, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures”. Baker Eddy authored 16 other titles that are still in print today, as well as about 600 Christian Science pamphlets and serial publications, newspapers, and magazines.
The Catholics have their own version of the Bible, the Vulgate, and “The Catechism of the Catholic Church” which sets out various Catholic doctrines and dogmas summarising the main beliefs, providing the groundwork for understanding what Catholics believe. There are an endless number of books about the Catholic church, Catholic faith and practice, and other aspects of Catholicism.
The Seventh-day Adventists founded their Seventh-day Adventist Publishing Association in 1861 and it is still going strong today. The Seventh-day Adventist Church has ‘literature evangelists’ to distribute their literature and they say they acknowledge literature evangelism as a self-supporting missionary in harmony with the church’s teachings and principles.
One of their founders, Ellen G. White (1827 – 1915) wrote dozens of books, about 5,000 periodical articles, and 200 pamphlets. As of 2019, more than 200 White titles are available in English, including compilations from her 100,000 pages of manuscript published by the Ellen G. People can get trapped in these organisations through their community or because they were born into them. They have been programmed into believing certain things that seem to them to be correct, if not indisputable. Often they are deceived into believing that their particular organisation is the only one God uses. Many are convinced they are the only group who are saved and everyone else is lost. People are manipulated by cult leaders who are often narcissists and very capable manipulators, using tried and tested techniques, some of which have been developed over centuries.
Typically, an environment of fear is created in which people are subtly coerced into a mindset where they know they should not look outside of the cult literature etc. and it is wrong to ask questions or to question anything they are told by the cult leader/s.
Commonly, people feel fearful – and/or are incapable – of thinking outside of the beliefs they have been indoctrinated into. They are aware – subconsconciously or otherwise – that they can lose position and favour, and they may be excluded or shunned, even by their friends and families if they are also members of the cult.
Those who want to leave a cult may believe that even God will abandon them as a result, or won’t help them, which of course is not true, but it seems to be true to them at the time, and their various combined fears seem to have very real substance. Sometimes people can’t see a way out as their whole life has been wrapped up in the cult and they can’t even conceive of a life different that that. What would it look like? How would it be possible? It seems that everything they know and rely upon is in the cult, and there is nothing for them outside of it. This of course is not true but that situation seems very real to them.

Due to demonic influences among other things, such as clever mind manipulation and control techniques, people can be easily misled and manipulated so that they are utterly convinced that salvation is dependent upon membership of their particular group, or church, or temple (the gold of the temple) or upon their leader/s.
This could not possibly be true because scripture does not contradict itself and it tells us that all the various denominations, sects and cults were started by man, and the Bible is clear that it is God who saves us only through Jesus.

God appointed the Apostles to lead the Church after Jesus had ascended to Heaven. From the beginning though, the Christian church was marred by splits, with people wanting to do things their way to get their own following. This only became more pronounced as over time the church has become more and more fragmented and corrupted.

One reason why they became so corrupted is that by whatever means they came into such money and power – in some cases it was by means of sacrilege as they basically used the Bible to make money – they were not faithful and did not adhere to what God has said in the Bible.

Who would you rather believe, what God says in the Bible, or what men say?
Christianity ought to be centred on Jesus Christ rather than membership of any particular church or denomination, or follower of any man, preacher or other type of leader. Rather than a Christian cult, or sects, or denomination such as Church of England, Methodism or Lutheranism, with different beliefs or aims than set out in the Bible.
Jesus did not tell people to go out and build organisations and mega-churches and draw followers to themselves. Rather, he said:
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)
Jesus himself told us that to be a Christian, or to be saved, first of all, we need to believe in Him and then to follow what he said and be obedient to it.
“These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” (1 John 2:26-27)

As Christians, we are to seek a sound relationship with God through His Son, according to what God has communicated to us in the Bible, rather than whatever we have decided for ourselves – or have allowed others to convince us – is the right or wrong thing to do.

There is a world of difference between “Christ-ianity” and “Church-ianity”. Jesus said: “Destroy this building made with hands and I will raise up another one made without hands”. What Jesus was telling us is that God’s true building is the body of Christ, those who believe in Him and follow Him, and do what he says, not a temple or a building, or any organisation, etc. made by man.

In Revelation 17, Bible prophecy tells us that most of these churches and denominations will end up being part of the ecumenical movement to build the one-world church leading back to Rome and following the antichrist rather than Jesus.

They also made these and other doctrines into sacriments, a works based faith which would garner self righteousness would be the fruit rather than the death to self, selflessness which is the very opposite of the character that God would have us be as a Christlike child of God. The Catholic religious system (not ordinary catholic people trying the best they can in good faith) promotes pride and ambition where human merit is valued above humble heartedness and the fear of God and His Law and Word of God the Holy Bible. Rather than the received texts they promote their catechisms and rules that place the church over the Bible. This is anti christ the very opposite to the truth in the Bible religion.

The processes of the reformation started to happen when ordinary people could have access to the Holy Bible the received texts. Once the Holy Bible was translated into different languages it caused a land slide of restorations that repaired the breach that had existed for over a thousand years of papal supremacy, that witheld the Holy Bible, persecuted the Bible and persecuted the saints, who proffessed a biblical faith. The Protestant Reformation restored the justification by faith and sanctification with a personal relationship with God the Father through our Lord Jesus in the new protestant faith in several denominations which restored full emersion baptism for an intelligent faith rather than infant sprinklings. Then the state of the dead was restored in another movement of protestantism and the ordinary Christian could avoid spiritualism thus pray to our Mediator Jesus Christ or The Father instead of the saints created by the Vatican with the pollution of evil spirits in our prayer and worship.
The Reformation was unraveled when Rome set up the anti Reformation Movement at the Council of Trent and formed the secret Jesuit Order who worked to infiltrate the church by artifice and sabotage. They have been working brake down the distinction of true Bible religion ever since. We are now in spiritual darkness as the Vatican is controlling the world again as Bible prophecy is being fulfilled. The world is wondering after the beast.

Ellen G. White was a false teacher, and how can we know this? The Lord’s Word clearly instructs that NO WOMAN can teach and rule over the true Body of Christ men included.

How are believers justified, sanctified (born again)? The apostle Paul addressed that question in his epistle to the Romans. “For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to greater and greater iniquity, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness for sanctification” (Rom. 6:19). “But now that you have been freed from sin and enslaved to God, the advantage you get is sanctification” (verse 22). The gift of righteousness is what sanctifies a person. In the book of Romans, Paul speaks of justification as the gift of the righteousness of God (Rom. 1:16, 17; 3:21-24; 4:22-25). This gift is what sanctifies or makes holy. When we are justified, we are “freed from sin” (Rom. 6:22), delivered from the impurity and iniquity that had been reigning in our lives (verse 19). The result of justification is that we are sanctified or made holy.
Thus, sanctification as growth involves an increase in holiness, a progressive development in the life of love and service for Christ and for others. We must learn to rely totally upon the perfect righteousness of Christ bestowed and not upon our own unaided efforts. We must be justified (born again) every day as the means of constant spiritual growth. Justification provides the power; growth in holiness (sanctification) is the result. The power of our fallen humanity is weakened as the power of Christ constantly subdues it, and the holiness that is Christ’s gift and presence becomes our habitual experience.
Providing we are on this narrow path we are born again but if fall into sin in this is undone therefore we need to work out our faith with fear and trembling Phillipians 2:12. Because we are being judged whilst in the flesh living in probation until.
So being born again is a condition of justification and sanctification combined and we need to understand that the judgement is taking place now in heaven because when Jesus returns his reward will be with him.
So rather than say I am born again I would rather say hey that my salvation is being worked out as I live.
If you were born of God’s Spirit you would have departed from SDA. Because the Holy Spirit would have made it uncomfortable for you to stay in an apostate cult, because you would see the lies they teach.
Being born again is of and by the Power of the Holy Spirit………we who are truly the Lord’s disciple’s are NOT living in “probation until” You believe in a works salvation, so you are not “born of and by God’s Holy Spirit”.

The prophecies of Daniel and Revelation work hand in hand to describe the Papacy the Beast that replaced the Ceasars and became the Holy Roman Empire the most brutal apostate system on Earth. There is so much to say about its influence in the world yesterday and today that controls everything. Antichrist or Man of Sin is now hidden by the Ecumenical movement which to cut a long story short is false unity based on unity at the cost of the truth. The Reformers came out of the Catholic Church and there was a harvest when they restored some of the main pillars of the faith like Righteousness by faith and other main pillars of the faith like Sanctification by faith although they had not completed the restoration to the simplicity of the faith and the Biblical standards of the early apostolic church. God used them and worked with them for He winks at their ignorance. Many sacrificed their lives for God’s cause and there was a harvest.
But we are in a war between Christ and Satan so this movement was broken down, but there is always a remnant.
Harlots are the daughters (denominations) that came out in the Roman Catholic system and eventually were to lose their protest against the false doctrines and started to drink the wine of Babylon again (false doctrine) and become apostate because these denominations were infiltrated by the Jesuits and the Oxford Movement in England and brought back some of the traditions of RC that negate righteousness by faith and make void the Law of God and bring in their modern theologies on eschatology and methods of worship practice we see today in all denominations.
I am Seventh Day Adventist and my denomination has some of these issues but is still able to defend Protestantism from a public platform. Yes, we have Ellen White a prophet that was gifted to God’s remnant church to prophecy again according to Dan 8 the end of the 2300 yr prophecy and Revelation 10 prophecy that predicted the Great disappointment of 1844 and then the truth would come as sweet as honey when they completed the Reformation by restoring the &th Day Sabbath and the Judgement and the state of the dead. We profess that those who keep the Commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus will be given the Spirit of Prophecy to magnify God’s Word for modern times that will increase in knowledge of the Word of God Knowledge of Science and the increased deceptions of Evolution, the New Age Movement, Modern Spiritualism and the cults that exploded at and around the year of 1844 and many other movements conducted in the Great Controversy between Christ and Satan at the end of the age in the last generations of Eath’s history before the second advent to bring an ending in the Judgement of men and Satan and his minions.

This article is on the “Mark”. The whole concept of the “Body of Christ” has been perverted, due to the fallen nature and religiousness of men, who have allowed a “systematic, organized corporate” mentality take over the “man-made” church system.
Nothing that is represented in the “main stream church” system is of Christ nor was it unctioned by Jesus Christ. I have listened to a very good presentation on Babylon and if you understand what modern day spiritual Babylon is you will understand that through biblical prophecy why we had a dark ages and why we have a man of sin religious system in the world and why it is called the mother of harlots and you’ll understand who the daughters are.

Seventh Day Adventists have made some good YT videos and films, etc. but it’s sad that always at the end they go back to everything hinges on Saturday being the right day for worship and not Sunday.
Yet it cannot possibly be true that everything hinges on Sunday worship because the Bible tells us something else and both cannot be right.
Also with regard to whether Seventh Day Adventism or Ellen White is correct or not. There is one Bible passage in particular – but many more besides – which gives us the answer: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

Isn’t it fundamental to the Gospel to keep strictly to it so that there are no divisions and arguments? Isn’t that what the Bible says to do?
As soon as people start to subscribe to different beliefs, denominations and sects, drawing up followers to themselves and creating their own set of rules, isn’t that when arguments start which could go on forever, each 100% certain that he is the one who is right? Or did the different denominations come out of the different beliefs and interpretations, etc? Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Does it even matter? When we know that the Bible says not to do this.

We are in a war between good and evil called the Great Controversy between Christ and satan.
Therefore any good movement like the Protestant reformation started off with the best of intentions. There were only two denominations then. The Bible religion of the word of God was driven underground in the Dark Ages whilst the Catholic Church used the state to persecute the Bible religion. In prophecy, the Bible itself was ware sackcloth as the two witnesses (Old & New Testaments) during the 1260 yrs of persecution or 42 months or 3.5 yrs point to this Dark Ages where the Bible was banned by the Antichrist on pain of death. This antichrist the man of sin system (the papacy + church and state) was to receive a mortal head wound at the separation of church and state under Napoleon but was to heal later on like what we can see tacking shape today as it is behind the NWO today WEF WHO the UN the banks and multi-faith movement and ecumenism etc.
The Protestant Reformation got started because the Bible came out of captivity due to the reformers who translated the Bible received texts into their own languages so that the ploughman knew more than the priest etc. The Papacy has an antichrist mindset as it says in Daniel. Read the Great Controversy. Floods of Catholics left the Catholic Church when they discovered righteousness by faith rather than works and formed another denomination that restored righteousness by faith then another restored sanctification and another restored the state of the dead and in time another restored baptism etc so on which can only be good. But these were also under attack from satan and his servants from Rome. The society of Jesus the Jesuit order formed the Counter-Reformation Movement to infiltrate the world by becoming the schoolmasters of the world and whose mission is to destroy Protestantism from within like the tares etc. From here all the denominations were infiltrated and broken down to what we have today in the church with ecumenism which is sponsored by Rome. That is History. That is why we have many denominations. This is how the battle between Christ and satan is at work in the mindset of the world and the church. There are jesuits in my denomination who are ecumenical programmers and bring in modernism and any new theology they so wish. So we are divided like all the other protestants. This is why Revelation 18:4 says come out of her my people etc. And Jesus says out of other folds etc they must come out from both the world and from spiritual Babylon etc. This is it in a nutshell.
But:
The Bible religion is pure. And we are all on a journey and we are all different. So we have different levels of understanding and imperfect backgrounds and our ability to learn the truth is not the same. But this is not why we have different denominations although this has a bearing on how we perceive truth. Only the Holy Spirit can point us in the right direction if we are humble and know our true condition as sinful and fallen and ask for help and persevere to study to show ourselves approved by earnest prayer and study to compare scripture with scripture etc are we then rewarded. The Bible study without prayer and perseverance is hopeless. BUT THROUGH TRIAL AND ERROR WE BECOME SHARPENED. GOD HELP US
Wasn’t the very first ‘denomination’ – or should that be ‘demon-i-nation’? – when one of the early Christians at the time of Paul, did not subscribe to everything being said. So he took some followers away to follow him rather than to follow Jesus Christ and what we now know to be his genuine followers?

It strikes a chord with me that this is the very foundations of the apostate church leading to the Man of Sin religious system the Papacy long before it was revealed after the demise of the Ceasars. The formation of the apostate church that was to become corrupted in Pauls prophecy to the Ephesians also interesting that this would happen that from within yourselves. Consider the church of Ephesus
founded by the apostle Paul who lived among the people of Ephesus for 3 years and despite it having apostolic influence bishops and overseers that were appointed by a confirmed apostle, we see the same church being rebuked by Jesus Himself in Revelation in chapter 2, why? Because they deviated from God’s Word and if you like they even deviated from what ever tradition they might have received. If they had been appointed elders by an apostle than they had been entrusted to carry on this tradition. The fact that they were being rebuked by Jesus shows you that what ever tradition they might have recieved was no guarantee that they were going to continue in it, so then what is the authority? The written Word, is always only the final court of appeal for Jesus for the apostles always. In Acts 20 Paul summons the elders bishops and overseers of the church of Ephesus and says to them in verse 29
For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
From among yourselves he speaks speaking to the elders that he had appointed and he basically prophesies that they are going to become corrupted.
Peter says a similar thing will happen,”Prophets will arise among you” The traditions developed by them were not trustworthy and superseded the written Word of God’

To some history is important and in a way it is. Especially in that we can – or should but often don’t – learn from it. There is an extent though to which ‘his story’ of what happened cannot be relied upon and there is ‘his story’ and ‘his story’ and so on and they may be quite very different.
We do have some eyewitness accounts, but many other types of history too. Often no one who relates the history was actually there at the time and saw what happened. So rather than relating what actually happened, they are giving their own coloured view of what happened which may differ dramatically from someone else’s view. Plus, of course, so many individuals and organisations have their own private agendas and are more interested in that, than in the truth per se.
History cannot be the most important thing when the most important thing is God’s word along with its correct interpretation and practice, and everything else including history is secondary.
That logic destroys the whole point of the Reformation. It’s like saying men like Huss, Luther, Zwigli, Calvin, Wesley, Knox and Allen even YOU , were all false prophets because they founded a denomination. That is no debate anyone wants to get into They stood up for the right and separated because the wrong thought they were right and refused to change.
Yes, except it is not “like saying” anything because nobody said anything like it. Neither is this blog site another denomination nor anything like one, but rather speaks out against having denominations in Christianity – just as the Bible itself does – which are effectively divisions.
We attempt to point the way to what the Bible says and may fail in some respects but also there is validity in much of what we are saying because we do our best to keep to the Bible.
For example, Luther was human and yes, he stood up against the Catholic church of which he was once part but he had his own problems, as humans usually do. If you look into his story there is considerable anti-semitism and other dark things. While it would be good to break away from the Catholic church, it would be best not to ‘follow’ Luther as the Lutherans are another denomination. Rather follow Jesus.
In history, there can be no denying there were people who did wonderful things such as John Bunyan with Pilgrim’s Progress, and the evangelist brothers John and Charles Wesley who wrote so many of our beautiful hymns. The early Bible translators and publishers John Wycliffe who made himself an enemy of the Catholic church and fought with blood, sweat and tears for the Bible to be available to everyone rather than just a select and corrupt few.
Eventually, though, Man – with of course the help of the Enemy – eventually seems to manage to be able to corrupt everything he gets his hands on. So now we have thousands of denominations and many hundreds of Bible translations which cloud the truth so that people can’t see it.
“What is the truth?” is a very important question, it is the very question that Pilate asked of Jesus. As believers, we know the truth is in the Bible which is the unerring word of God. It logically follows then that the whole truth cannot be found in any of the denominations. Each believes that they are the only ones who have the truth, as the Bible is clear that we should not have denominations which is what we are fundamentally saying here.

The divine tide of prophecy set in motion a move of the Holy Spirit to convict certain souls to come out from “her the great whore of Babylon” that had presumptuously stood in the place (anti) of Jesus Christ, who set up a system of mediation through men to users our High Priest Jesus Christ. Call no man your Father o Earth etc. The dragon himself satan who originally wanted to be like the Most High himself has his seat of authority in Rome. He spites God and usurps the worship of God’s lost sheep. The great whore (papacy) did everything to contain the Word of God but failed. Simultaneously God moved his people in the church to come out and be separated from the false doctrines, and idolatry. Although the true Bible religion was diminished and was in hiding in the wilderness during the dark ages (the 1260 or 42 or the 3.5=1260 years). The development of the printing press enabled simultaneous Bible translation of the Received Texts in Europe ( The two witnesses Old & New Testaments com come out of sackcloth etc). This opened the way for Catholics to separate from the Catholic Church. From which we have the denominations that restored the main pillars of the faith and set captives free. Although they hadn’t completely restored the Bible religion to the same standard as the Early Apostolic Church, God used them and worked with them although they were not perfect they had a heart after God etc. From which we had the original protestant denominations that split from the Catholic Church.
But the Reformation was still not completed. Protestantism was to be broken down and degraded over time to become the daughters of the Mother Church: “The Mother of Harlots” controls the daughters who are the apostate protestants we have today that have the become ecumenical movement in various degrees. Bible Prophesy puts all this into context. Many Protestants besides Seventh-day Adventists understand this basic rundown of historic events that have helped multitudes to see the picture Biblical picture as a whole.
