Occult and Cursed Objects List

Bless and curse in the various forms of the words, along with numerous references to cursed objects, are found in the Bible many hundreds of times, in both the Old Testament and the New. This list contains many of those Bible references and there are more besides.

Some Christians today believe that the New Testament has replaced the Old and we should not give too much heed to what the Old Testament says. Yet the New Testament contains approximately 250 express Old Testament quotations, and more than 1000 indirect or partial quotations.

The Old Testament is quoted in the New Testament at least 295 times, occupying some 352 verses of the New Testament, or more than 4.4 per cent. Therefore, one verse in 22.5 of the New Testament is a quotation from the Old Testament.

“All [Old and New Testament] scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

“For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was anything kept secret, but that it should come abroad.” (Mark 4:22)

“Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.” (Matthew 10:26)

“For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither anything hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.” (Luke 8:17)

“For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.” (Luke 12:2)

[The Occult and Cursed Object List itself begins about one-third of the way down this article.]

What makes an object cursed?

Anything to do with idolatry or pagan worship, especially the idols themselves, their places of worship, temples, gardens, etc. and images of the same are cursed by God Himself and are abominable to Him.

“Cursed be the man that makes any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and puts it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.” (Deuteronomy 27:15)

“You have praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways, have you not glorified.” (Daniel 5:23)

“Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. they have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not: They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not: They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: Neither speak they through their throat. They that make them are like them; so is every one that trusts in them.” (Psalms 115:4-8)

“Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the Lord; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.” (Haggai 2:14)

“Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land with the filthiness of the people of the lands, with their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness.” (Ezra 9:11)

“Therefore say to the house of Israel: Thus says the Lord God; repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.” (Ezekiel 14.6)

“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. “(Revelation 9:20-21)

The removal of Christian values

Removing prayer and worship from institutions such as schools and various occasions such holidays and celebrations etc., is also a form of idolatry, as it is the substitution of idols for the word of God.

All forms of witchcraft (manipulative control), are regarded by God as idolatry and therefore cursed. This includes any form of paganism such as Druidism, nature worship, New Age practices, white witchcraft, all forms of freemasonry, Christian and other cults, etc.

Does our Worship Please God?

Adultery, sodomy, polygamy, sex outside of a marriage as God ordained, and all forms of sexual perversion and other sexual sins, and pornography, and of course abortion which is counted as murder, are liable to be cursed.

“Fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:” (Colossians 3:5)

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:21)

“With his mouth, the godless man destroys his neighbour but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.” (Proverbs 11:9)

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.” (1 Samuel 15:23)

All forms of unrepentant unforgiveness and revenge, wishing harm to someone, inordinate anger or rage, hatred and any such negative emotions can potentially bring a curse and open doorways or portals.

“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” (Matthew 6:14-15)

“To me belongs vengeance and recompense; their foot shall slide in due time.” (Deuteronomy 32:35)

Violence and all things associated, such as weaponry and martial arts, including movies and video games and online gaming especially any that don’t glorify God.

“The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked, those who love violence, he hates with a passion.” (Psalms 11.5)

Anything to do with any of the many death cults, such as hell’s angels, skull and skeleton figures, zombies, especially animal sacrifice and blood, or murder, including imagery and paraphernalia, tattoos, costumes or clothing, anything to do with Halloween or horror movies.

“All they that hate me love death.” (Proverbs 8:36)

People can also put witchcraft curses on things, and people, and places

Things can be cursed by people too. Some witches of various types and religions and peoples too have a propensity for cursing things. Whether to serve some particular purpose such as some type of advantage, or perhaps revenge, or just because they delight in so doing as some do.  It is well documented that many Red Indian tribes practised witchcraft and cursed their sacred lands, especially burial grounds as a way of protecting them. These curses are real and can be deadly.

Objects can be cursed due to their history, and associations, a connection to personal unholy soul ties, or due to their connection with the practice of sin in all its various forms.

Places, mountain regions, or lakes, etc. with names including words like ‘hell’, ‘devil’ or ‘death’ have often been found to be dangerous.

There are degrees of curses

Objects or symbols can be cursed to various degrees according to the item itself, its origins and history and connections to certain people or places. Also according to its perceived value to the owner and the level of idolatry involved. Things can be particularly cursed if they are directly idolatrous, or directly connected with or used in idolatry. Or if somehow profane or unholy, or directly or indirectly connected with evil, the devil and Satanism, witchcraft, etc.

Even if someone did not know that objects – or symbols – were cursed or did not know they had them in their home or garden, or in their workplace, or even garage or transport, they can still be used by the demonic just the same. Although there would likely be a difference in the degree to which they are able to be used, which can be, for example, according to how much an object was valued or revered, or not. We can test ourselves whether we have the strength to let something go.

The degree to which something is cursed would also depend on what sort of belief system or value system is attached to them and the degree to which it is in conflict with what the Bible says.

It is not possible to purify cursed objects

God Himself has cursed anything which is or has been used in idolatry, no matter how valuable or desirable it may seem to be, due to perhaps age or rarity. This would include any materials derived from it, such as wood, stone, gold or silver, even its ashes.

According to the Bible, it is only ‘living souls’, that is people and animals – ‘nephesh’ meaning any creature that breathes – who are not subject to that rule.

“The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the Lord thy God.” (Deuteronomy 7:25)

Some attempt to recycle or upcycle things – or for example a holiday like Halloween – to attempt to purify or sanctify it. They believe that if something is blessed or sprinkled with holy water or somehow repurposed or rededicated to God, that will remove the curse on it and of it, and in it. This is a deception.

“Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.” (Job 14:4)

“But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.” (Jeremiah 32:34)

“But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.” ((1 Corinthians 10:20)

“By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest stands daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;” (Hebrews 10:10-12)

What is a curse?

It has been said that the devil does not usually come into one’s life uninvited. He follows protocol. Someone has to have something belonging to Him. For example, in horror films we see a vampire has to be invited in, he can’t just walk in and certain things will prevent him. It may be something we brought have brought into the house, something or things we have done, or something or things we have not done that we should have.

Sometimes demons come in just because they can. It could also be due to ancestral iniquity – sins and the results of sin on the family line. Or it may even be the place itself, one’s home, as there are places that are inherently cursed or the curse is due to the previous occupants and things they did there. Sometimes though it is not possible to cleanse a place, and it is better to just get away and go somewhere else.

Generally speaking, whatever the cause, the remedy is the same – deliverance from evil, as per the Lord’s Prayer, aka spiritual warfare.

The devil and his demons are expert legalists and deceivers and are always looking to get a toehold, a foothold, a stronghold and then a stranglehold in people’s lives. Getting cursed objects and symbols into people’s homes or gardens and lives while blinding them to it, is one of their main methods of achieving that, through a person’s disobedience to God.

In particular, the presence of one or more cursed objects in the home can help to open demonic doorways, or portals as mentioned earlier in this article. In some cases, just removing the item/s and throwing them in the trash can resolve the problem/s. In other cases, it is more complex and there is more to uncover, such as perhaps unconfessed sin, or unforgiveness, etc. but removing cursed objects from one’s home is a good start.

“Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, LEST THOU BE A CURSED THING LIKE IT: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.” (Deuteronomy 7:26)

The presence of a cursed object in our home or garden can affect any and every area of our life. It can affect our health, our physical and mental wellbeing, our finances, relationships, our employment, our home and anything else. It may be just be an indefinable subtle influence on the mind and soul of those near it or it may be more profound and prominent. The purpose of this influence is to take as much (witchcraft) control of their victim as possible and lead them in a wrong direction where more control can be exerted.

The possession of cursed objects and symbols in one’s home, garden, transport or office, along with engaging in other sinful practices and other forms of disobedience to God can effectively open demonic doorways – also called portals or gateways. These doorways provide licence grounds or legal rights, to demons to harass, torment and destroy, in all the ways that they do. Sometimes, in order to get deliverance, we need to find what or where those open doorways are, and shut them down.

These terms ‘demonic doorway’ or ‘portals’ do not appear in the Bible but a TV, radio or mobile phone are types of portals. Examples of what is meant or implied by those terms can be seen in scriptures like this:

“Neither give place to the devil.” (Ephesians 4:27) [Not give some place, or a little place, but give NO place.]

“I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.” (Psalm 101:3)

Other Bible versions say: “It shall not fasten its grip on me”, “It shall not grasp hold of me”.

“And do not give the devil a foothold.” (Ephesians 4:27 NIV)

“Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” (Ephesians 5:11)

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: For we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Corinthians 2:11)

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” (1 Peter 5:8)

Other Bible versions say: “Be vigilant”, “Be alert”, “Be on your guard”, “Be clear-minded”, “Be watchful”.

Occult symbolism

The use of occult symbolism by the occult arts which is so prevalent today also provides demonic doorways or portals which act as a conduit to channel invisible powers. This is part of programming people’s minds, providing access for the demonic which could be likened to tuning into a certain radio channel or frequency. This is a mind control method like predictive programming, where something is shown to happen in a TV series or movie before it happens in reality.

For example, we sometimes see in a horror film a pentagram is drawn or chalked on the floor to summon a demon, or even the devil himself. Another example is a Ouija board which is is sold as a game to provide a means whereby people can speak to the dead, although God has expressly forbidden contact with the dead. In fact, it is not possible to use a Ouija board to communicate with the dead, but only with demons. Ouija boards are dangerous because they can open doorways or portals for demons to gain access and get control. It is not recommended that anyone should watch this but there is a video on Youtube about possessions caused by use or possession of a Ouija board and many other similar accounts can be seen on the internet.

Just going to a seance once, having our tarot cards read or consulting a fortune-teller once, reading astrological horoscopes in a newspaper or magazine, or watching a horror film has the potential to open doorways for the demonic. This can result in demonic oppression and harassment of all descriptions.

Although Christians cannot be possessed as they are sealed by the Holy Spirit, they can be subjected to other forms of oppression and harassment, even demonization, and believers can certainly have a demon or demons even though they have the Holy Spirit. Many articles have been written on the subject of “Can a Christian have a demon” explaining how and why, and these can be found via Google.

There are stories such as someone taken on a ghost train as a small child went on to suffer nightmares and demonic oppression for many years into adulthood. That is because the experience opened doorways so that demons could get access. Once demons get their claws in they can prove to be hard to get rid of even if they don’t have the ‘legal rights’ to stay. Not every child who goes on a ghost train or went through some form of trauma would experience similar results, but things like this can and do happen and one can read the testimonies of people who have experienced the reality of it.

It is especially dangerous to tamper with things we do not understand such as hallucinogenic drugs, and the same is true of occultism in all its forms, particularly because such practices can open demonic doorways for worse things to happen.

The idol entices its proposed victim by provoking curiosity or fascination like the Greek legend of the head of the Medusa that turned anyone who even looked on it into stone.

Sometimes we need to find out what is likely to have caused doorways to open and shut them. It may be a combination of things that we have done or not done, or what we are doing or not doing. Once we know and understand what the Bible says, it usually is not that difficult to find out, although for some this can take a little time, particularly if there are compounding problems that need to be dealt with. For a few, it can be quite a journey. Although God is able to heal us and restore us even when difficulties and trials have gone on for some time. Although it is best not to allow the situation to continue too long in order to prevent too much effect on one’s body and soul as there could be some lasting residual damage. The better we know and understand what the Bible says ourselves, and the more we turn to God in prayer for help and guidance, the easier it will be to overcome any problems.

God repeatedly asks in His word that we hate evil for good reason

There are literally dozens of scriptures where God asks us to hate evil and not to take any part in it, not even in the appearance of it. Part of the reason is because it is dangerous as it can open demonic doorways or portals.

“Abstain from all appearance of evil.” (1 Thessalonians 5:22)

“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5)

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, says the Lord, AND TOUCH NOT THE UNCLEAN THING AND I WILL RECEIVE YOU.” (2 Corinthians 6:17)

“Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.” (Romans 12:9)

“The fear of the Lord is to hate evil.” (Psalm 97:10)

“And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?” (Isaiah 8:19)

“And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.” (Leviticus 20:6)

“Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.” (Leviticus 19:31)

What can we do to protect ourselves, our friends and family, and others?

The Bible speaks of ‘the weapons of our warfare’ and these primarily include learning spiritual warfare. We read about this in Ephesians 6:

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of god, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.”

Demons can cause problems that manifest in any number of ways in any and all areas of life, but the solution is always deliverance. One problem may seem more horrific or ‘evil’ or shameful or guilt-inducing than another, but that is one of their aims and we should not allow it. It is better not to spend any time worrying about it and just get on with the remedy.

Prayer, along with some concrete changes, such as removing cursed objects and practices from one’s life, along with a change of lifestyle, putting aside ungodly practices and living a more godly life which includes prayer and studying the Bible.

Playing an audio Bible on low volume can help, even when we are not in the room or in the house. These days there are many recordings of audio Bibles available for free online and the King James version is far superior to other versions for this purpose.

Playing worship and praise music can be extremely helpful for this purpose. With one proviso, great care should be taken in the choice of music as much of modern worship music today has strong occult associations. Some so-called Christian music is not godly and the battle here can be for our very mind and soul.

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him MUST worship him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24)

Lust of the flesh (carnality), lust of the eyes and the pride of life (1 John 2:16)

Unconfessed sin: “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” (1 John 1:8-10)

All power and authority is in the name of Jesus

Wherefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that AT THE NAME OF JESUS every knee should bow, of things in heaven, And things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11)

“These signs shall follow them that believe; IN MY NAME shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;” (Mark 16:17)

“The seventy returned again with joy, saying, LORD, EVEN THE DEVILS ARE SUBJECT UNTO US THROUGH THY NAME.” (Luke 10:17)

When we pray we say “in the name of Jesus” because Jesus Christ already defeated the devil at the cross and the resurrection. Jesus came to expose the works of the devil and save us from our sins, but it is up to us to believe what He says and stop practising sin and serving the devil and to fight.

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;” (Hebrews 2:14)

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that is hanged on a tree:” (Galatians 3:13)

“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” (Colossians 2:15)

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” (Ephesians 1:7)

In the Bible God tells us hundreds of times not to fear and this too is part of spiritual warfare:

“Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, says the Lord.” (Jeremiah 1:8)

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)

“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28)

“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

“The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.” (Proverbs 29:25)

“I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.” (Psalms 34:4)

The word of God

Jesus has given his followers power and authority over all the Enemy. He showed us how to conduct spiritual warfare when each of the three times he was tempted by the devil in the desert, he replied with scripture, saying: “It is written ...”.

“It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)

The Bible teaches us what we need to know in order to carry out spiritual warfare. For example, the armour of God in Ephesians 6 mentioned earlier in this article.

Demonic attacks including fiery darts can be direct or indirect through others and often it is those from our neighbours and work colleagues, and sometimes our own friends and family, we need to deal with the most often. This can be painful and difficult to navigate if we do not know the scriptures that help us to deal with it.

These days people often turn to counsellors and increasingly that includes Christians. Counsellors can be helpful to teach and advise but it is better to turn to God in prayer and listen to what he has told us in His word. No one knows us like God does and no one could ever understand our situation the way that God does.

In John 10 we read that Jesus is the good shepherd, who will not flee when the wolf comes, as the hireling will. Jesus has other titles such as ‘Wonderful Counsellor’ and ‘the Prince of Peace’ and He is able to counsel us and give us peace. God can be trusted to understand and would never let us down like men can. Usually, counsellors work for monetary reward and can mislead us and let us down in any number of ways, that’s why God has said:

“Thus says the Lord: cursed be the man that trust in man, and makes flesh his arm.”(Jeremiah 17:5)

God has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us, teach us and protect us and His word, the scriptures. His timing is not always what we want, but his faithfulness is sure.

Jesus warned of deception in the Last Days more than anything else

Jesus warned of deception in the Last Days more than anything else. He spoke of wolves in sheep’s clothing who would be false Christian leaders teaching things that contradict the Bible. He said they would not care for the flock but make merchandise out of them. This is just one of the many warnings given throughout the New Testament, this one by Jesus Himself:

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

In these times, we need to take great care as many if not most ministers, teachers and pastors these days are – knowingly or unknowingly – serving the devil, teaching 98% truth and 2% deadly error, and leading people astray. Scripture tells us that these ministers will wax worse and worse, deceived and deceiving.

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” (2 Corinthians 11:13-14)

Listening to any sort of false teaching or following is dangerous for a number of reasons, including that it can in and of itself open demonic doorways, so great care should be taken what we choose, even when reading or watching videos online.

Test the spirits, and check everything against scripture, as we have been told to do, no matter how right something seems, it must align with what the Bible says. The better we know what the Bible says, the easier is it is to identify false teaching that contradicts what the Bible says. It may not be easy to discern at first, but the more we study God’s word, the clearer it becomes to us what is scriptural and what is not. We can pray to ask God for more discernment, more wisdom, more faith, more strength and more grace to endure.

How To Get Help Through Prayer

Should Christians attend church?

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:25)

Some believers might prefer, at least at first, to go to a church, preferably one that practices deliverance or at least deliverance prayer and healing. Though today, sadly, many would have to travel some distance to find a church that is teaching sound doctrine. So many churches today have partially merged with the Catholic church, by various ways and means such as the Alpha Course.

Many churches have allowed the toxic influence of the likes of the NAR and Bill Johnson. Or Rick Warren through his series of books “The Purpose Built Life”. It is probably better not to go to a church than to go to a church like that. Listening to false teachers some of whom are blasphemous, can result in demonic oppression, harassment, torment, and even demonization.

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” (Revelation 18:4)

The word in the Bible translated to ‘church’ is ‘ekklesia’ which means “those who are the called-out ones”. It means those who are called by God to be a follower of Jesus, and that should take precedence over church attendance. Scripture tells us that in the Last Days many will fall away. Many these days attend home churches.

If we do not know of a good church not too far away, we could make enquiries from other Christians, say in a Christian bookshop and we can pray and ask God to guide us to one.

We should at least try but if it is not possible to attend church for one reason or another, we should not worry, as it is by no means necessary to attend church to be a Christian, especially these days.

We have the Holy Spirit to guide us and teach us and there are many church services, and audio or video deliverances available online which work perfectly with that one proviso about being very careful when choosing who to listen to, whether on the internet or not.

Here are some articles that may help in this:

Is deliverance scriptural?

Sadly, some Christians today teach that the Bible not only says a Christian cannot have a demon but that it is wrong for believers to practice deliverance. Yet the Bible contains dozens of scriptures about deliverance, throughout Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and deliverance made up one-third of Jesus’s ministry. Jesus even cast out demons for two days before the day he was crucified.

“And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.” (Luke 13:32)

“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:20)

With that one proviso of being careful who one listens to, Christians can easily and safely learn about spiritual warfare from the Bible and from sound teachers on Youtube or elsewhere on the internet. We can learn self-deliverance which can be the most effective of all as Jesus gave us power over all the Enemy and we just need to learn how which is not difficult.

“And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not. And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither. And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father. and they were all amazed at the mighty power of God.” (Luke 9:40-43)

“For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.” (Deuteronomy 30:11-14)

Today, there are Christian churches, and pastors teachers on the internet, on social media and elsewhere who teach that deliverance is not biblical. Sometimes they use the NAR as an example and some even call Derek Prince a heretic. Some say deliverance is dangerous. It is God who delivers through His Holy Spirit, and therefore deliverance is only dangerous if it is not carried out according to biblical principles. With that one proviso, deliverance is dangerous only to demons.

Christians are deceived into believing deliverance is not biblical wresting certain scriptures out of context while ignoring the many scriptures that refer to deliverance. There are cessationists who teach that all miracles have ceased, along with any miraculous gifts. such as prophecy, healing, and speaking in tongues ceased with the apostles. Some include deliverance with that even though it is not mentioned – which surely it would have been. Why should deliverance cease when demons did not cease to exist and they are still very much present and active – and will be increasingly so as we go further into the Last Days.

Some claim that Christians do not need deliverance and it is not meant for them. But we know from scripture where, for example, Jesus twice called deliverance ‘the children’s bread’. (Matt. 15:21-28; Mark 7:24-30) that deliverance is indeed meant for Christians.

There are many other scriptures which make it clear that a Christian can have a demon and many of them are Jesus speaking to believers:

This is confirmed by the parable of the man who swept his house clean. One demon was swept out and seven more came in, which tells us that deliverance can make a situation worse for non-believers and perhaps for some believers under certain conditions. Also after he had healed someone, Jesus said this which can be applied:

“Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.” (John 5:14)

So then that means according to the theory of Christians who believe deliverance is not scriptural, no one should have deliverance, which of course is exactly the situation the Enemy wants as they are so desperate not to be cast out.

Paul spoke of being harassed and tormented by a demon:

“And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan [i.e. demon] to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.” (2 Corinthians 12:7)

We should always try the spirits to see if they are of God

There are good and bad deliverance ministers in the same way there are good and bad teachers of any type. Test the spirits to see if they are of God because if it is not the Holy Spirit, then it is likely to be demons. If demons use scripture to deceive people then they can also use the deliverance ministry to deceive people and we need to continue to check everything against scripture.

Christian ministries should keep the Gospel central to their ministry and not be centred on deliverance and the supernatural. Deliverance ministries and ministers should adhere to what the Bible says the same as any other. All are equal in Christ and different rules do not apply. A church or a minister should focus their and our attention on the Gospel, on God and on Jesus Christ and the true Holy Spirit (who will always glorify and point to Jesus) according to scripture without false teaching, not on deliverance. When the abilities or specialness or personality of a certain minister is emphasised and deliverance is turned into some type of show, or spectacle, so it’s about them and the empire they have built, rather than about God and His word.

When we learn about deliverance aka spiritual warfare we learn how to use scripture to defend ourselves against the attacks of the Enemy, whether direct or – as often happens – through other people. We have the Holy Spirit to guide us and protect us and God has promised that as long as we walk in obedience to His word – which he has elevated above his holy name – He will take care of us. Even though we may suffer or walk through the valley of death, God has promised us He will be with us, He will comfort us, and we will come to no lasting eternal harm.

Renunciation prayers

Renunciation prayers are addressed to God and always said in the name of Jesus. They can be said for specific things such as prior involvement with the occult or witchcraft, in all its various forms such as New Age or freemasonry. A Google search will bring up some prayers and there are some on this site and Kanaan Ministries also have several good prayers.

Renunciation prayers can be particularly helpful for a new believer experiencing problems and in need of deliverance and not sure of so many things and not used to praying to God. Renunciation prayers only need to be read aloud once. (Although if necessary due to backsliding, etc. on occasion they can be repeated.)

There is no harm in saying a renunciation prayer if it doesn’t apply, so even if doubt we can feel confident to go ahead. Most would benefit from saying this prayer:

Prayer to Renounce Generational Family Iniquity

Doesn’t the Bible say that God created everything and said it was good?

One might ask: “How can things that God created be cursed when the Bible says after God created the world and everything in it, He said it was good?

That is true, but it was before man brought sin into the world and God cursed the earth:

“And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” (Genesis 3:17-19)

Cursed objects are mentioned many times in the Old Testament and also in the New Testament including the first two commandments

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil.” (Proverbs 8:13)

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.” (Exodus 20:4-6)

“I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” (Isaiah 42:8)*

*[See the end of this article for “What is a graven image?”]

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”(Deuteronomy 30:19)

The blessings of obedience (Deuteronomy 28:1-14)

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

“Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways.

“And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee. And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.”

The curses of disobedience (Deuteronomy 28:15-28)

“But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

“Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

“The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me. The Lord shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.

“The Lord shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish. And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.

“The Lord shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed. The Lord shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.

“The Lord will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. The Lord shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.”

The Occult in Christianity

Today there are Christian churches where Satan is worshipped in secret, often at night and/or in the crypt. This is not new as it also happened in Old Testament times:

“He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations. And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall. Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here. So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about. And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up.”

Occult and cursed objects and symbols are often found in Christian churches

It is not unusual to find occult, which includes freemasonry (which is witchcraft) symbolism in Christian churches, in fact it is quite common. There is more about this below in the section about occult symbols.

Christian literature and even a Bible that contains false doctrine or occult symbols can be cursed to some degree depending on what it is. It is a matter of degree as to the purpose to which the literature is put and the extent to which it is an object of idolatry.

To some degree, even ‘New Age’ Bible versions can constitute cursed objects, depending on the accuracy of the translation. [There is a great deal more information available about this version of the Bible and others available on this site and elsewhere, including in the form of memes.]

For example, the “New King James” Bible is not a new version of the “King James Bible”, or anything like it. At the front of most but not all NKJV bibles there is something called a triquetra which is considered to be one of the the oldest Celtic symbols. It is supposed to be a trinity symbol or symbol of the Godhead but it is, in fact, a hidden ‘666’ one of the most powerful satanic symbols.

The ‘triquetra’ (Latin meaning ‘three-cornered’) is a Celtic trefoil knot similar to the ‘valknot’ or ‘valknut’ or ‘knot of the slain’ which is an old Norse (Viking) symbol of Odin. Odin has been said to be Satan himself and there is an ‘unholy trinity’ of Odin the father, Thor the son and the spirit of power, Tyr.

A trinity of gods also occurs in many other religions such as Hinduism with Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Or the Babylonian/Egyptian trinity of Nimrod/Osiris, and Semiramis/Ishtar/Astarte/Ashtaroth/Isis in different cultures and languages and mentioned in the Bible as “the queen of heaven”, with Tammuz who is also mentioned in the Bible:

“Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord’s house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.” (Ezekiel 8:14-17)

Triqueta

Even crosses and crucifixes, other than a very simple and plain cross in the standard form, in particular those with a figure on them, can be cursed. This may seem surprising but crucifixes with various embellishments are used in freemasonry and most occult religions, as well as Catholicism. Upside-down or broken or bent crosses (such as is used as a crook by the Pope) are used in black magic and satanism and would be blasphemous and therefore very much cursed.

The peace symbol is not only an image of a broken cross but is, in fact, the “cross of Nero” (see 4. above) and represents a man being crucified upside-down. More information can be found about this with a Google search. This ties in with what the Bible says: “They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.” (Jer 6:14)

Even pictures of Jesus can be cursed in part because the Bible does not provide a description of what he looked like so it would be inaccurate. To what extent anything like that would be cursed could be according to the nature of the pictures, etc. For example, a Roman Catholic ‘open heart’ picture would be likely to be a great deal more cursed than, say, one of the Margaret Tarrant pictures of Jesus. Anyway making such images is expressly forbidden in scriptures such as this:

666 is one of the most powerful occult or satanic symbols

Cunningly disguised 666 symbols can be found in all sorts of places today, such as the Walt Disney, Coca-Cola and Olympics logos, and many more, including the Google logo itself. More examples can easily be found online by searching for ‘hidden 666’.

Why is the number 666 associated with the devil?

“Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” (Revelation 13:18).

The number 7 is widely regarded as being the number of God. There are a number of reasons for this such as the Bible mentions the number seven more than any other, and it appears around 500 times throughout the Old and New Testaments. God blessed the seventh day and made it holy and according to the Bible there are seven heavens. In the book of Revelation the number 7 is used over 50 times. There are 7 churches, 7 mountains, and 7 kings, 7 golden candlesticks, 7 spirits, 7 stars, 7 lamps, 7 seals, 7 horns, 7 eyes, 7 last plagues, 7 thunders, 7 golden vials, 7 angels, and 7 trumpets. There are seven continents on Earth, seven seas, seven colours of the rainbow and seven notes of the musical scale.

As six is one short of seven, so it is incomplete and six represents mankind also because man was created on the sixth day, and man is incomplete without God. So if seven is the number of completeness, then six is the number of man who would like to be God-like but falls short of it, and with 666, in triplicate. The number 6 represents the worship of man, and is the number of man, signifying his rebellion, imperfection, works, and disobedience. The repetition of three sixes intensifies the effect, representing the ultimate failure.

[From: Meaning of Numbers in the Bible – The Number 6] “The number 6 and its meaning are related to man and human weakness, and ‘the completeness of sinful incompleteness’, the evils of the devil and the manifestation of sin. Man was created on day six of creation week. Men are appointed 6 days to labor and then they are commanded to rest on the seventh day (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset).

“Man’s system on earth is made up of three parts (economic, religious and governmental) all of which are influenced and led by Satan. The bringing together of triple six is the mark of the end time Beast power of Revelation. As such, it represents the very best system of governance that mankind can produce without God and under the constant influence of his chief adversary.”

The Roman numeral for 666, DCLXVI, has exactly one occurrence of all symbols whose value is less than 1000 in decreasing order: D = 500, C = 100, L = 50, X = 10, V = 5, I = 1.

It should noted that relative to 6, there are certain combination of 3 which are also very significant to the occult. According to Freemasonry itself, the 33rd degree Mason is an honorary title given to individuals who have reached the highest level of achievement within Freemasonry.

Also, it has been said that 3.00am is the ‘ devil’s hour’, 3.00 or some say 3.30 am is said to be when the power of the devil is at its strongest. It has also been said that is the time when humans are at our weakest, or when we come closest to death, and some claim it is the hour when most people die. It is believed that this is because Jesus was crucified at 9am and died at 3.00 or 3.30pm, so it is the opposite, as far away possible.

The all-seeing eye, pyramid, crescent moon, and other occult symbols

There are thousands of variations of the main occult symbols which are often used for decoration, including on the body as tattoos and nail decorations and here are some examples. There are links to lists of many more occult symbols at the foot of the page.

Paisley is a very popular decorative pattern often found in home decorations and decorative items and often in men’s and women’s clothing. It contains the occult symbol of a stylised version of the all-seeing eye which is ‘the eye of Horus’. According to Egyptian mythology, Horus was the son of Isis and Osiris – the goddess of love and the god of the dead respectively – who is believed to be the Egyptian equivalent of Jesus and therefore an antichrist figure (meaning in place of Christ). Similar to this is ‘the eye of Ra’, the god of the sun, supposedly the most powerful of the Egyptian gods. It is surely with good reason that paisley can be found in numerous appealing multi-coloured designs to entice the eye.

One eye is a common occult symbol sometimes referred to as the ‘all-seeing eye’ and also the ‘evil eye’. In truth, here is only one who can claim to have an ‘all-seeing eye’ and that is God Almighty. As we know, the devil wants to provide a counterfeit which this is, and as such, it represents the Antichrist. The eye can be decorated in innumerable ways as per some examples in the following illustrations. Many even use the term ‘evil eye’ as shown below, where one US department store which is famous worldwide lists one hundred and sixty items of ‘evil eye jewellery’ for sale:

In 1782, ‘the Eye of Providence’ was adopted as part of the symbolism featured on the reverse side of the Great Seal of the United States and still appears on dollar bills today. It comprises ‘the all-seeing eye’ in the pyramid which is another occult symbol used in freemasonry and as an Illuminati symbol of which there are also numerous variations.

The crescent moon is another occult symbol available in any number of designs.

Occult hand signs

Occult symbolism would include the various hand signals so popular today and many pictures are available online of celebrities and government figures making the various occult hand signals. The most well known of these are as follows:

1. The OK hand signal forms 666 as per the illustrations below with one or two hands.

2. The one eye symbol in which only one eye is shown, with the other eye covered by the hand or omitted in numerous ways with one or two hands sometimes also forming 666.

3. The ‘shhh’ sign is the reminder for the masonic obligation or vow of silence.

4. The pyramid sign formed by a triangle with two hands, in the lap or over the eye, etc. or sometimes inverted.

5. ‘Osiris Risen’ with arms crossed pledges allegiance to the Antichrist.

Greek Key Patterns

Greek key patterns are found in numerous forms on various architectural features, woodwork, tiles, pots, rugs, all types of decorative items and often seen on clothes and bags etc. It can contain various occult symbols and one of the most popular spells out ISIS.

The Star of David

The hexagram is a powerful satanic symbol which has been used for mystical and decorative purposes by pagans, including Muslims and Kabbalistic Jews all around the world since the dawn of civilisation. More recently, it has been adopted by freemasonry and it appears on the dollar bill spelling out ‘mason’.

‘The star of David’ is not mentioned in the Bible, nor is the so-called ‘shield of David’ or ‘magen David’. The Bible does mention ‘the star of Remphan (another name for Saturn) and ‘the Star of Moloch’. How the hexagram came to be used by the Jews and known as ‘the star of David’ is thought to be through Solomon who, defying God’s warning not to take pagan wives, in his later years allowed them to turn him to pagan worship or Satanism. The hexagram came to be known as ‘the seal of Solomon’, and later also became known as ‘the star of David’.

The fleur-de-lys (fleur-de-lis) or trefoil

Perhaps the second most powerful widely-used occult symbol is the fleur-de-lys, or fleur-de-lis, or trefoil, which has been called the devil’s flower. The fleur-de-lys has a very long history of being associated with black magic and various forms of satanism. Certainly, if ever there was such a demonic device as a symbolic devil’s flower, this seems to be it, with numerous variations that resemble a demonic alphabet. It has been said to represent an unholy trinity as mentioned in the Bible:

“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.” (Revelation 16:13)

Throughout history until today, the fleur-de-lys has been used by royalty and the aristocracy, in heraldry (which itself is occult) and in various emblems. A fleur-de-lys symbol was even commonly used to brand slaves and more can be seen about this online.

The fleur-de-lys has been extraordinarily popular as a decorative symbol all over the world, from the most ancient of civilisations in Babylon until today.

The ancient history of the fleur-de-lys

The fleur-de-lys symbol has been used in ancient Sumerian, Babylonian, Indian, Egyptian, and Roman statues, relics and architecture. There is evidence that this symbol came from the earliest known civilization in Mesopotamia – that is present day Turkey, Iraq, and Syria – as long ago as 4500 BC.

Fleur-de-lys can be found in the 14th-century Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hasan and the 16th-century Hindu Padmanabhaswamy temple (widely considered as the world’s richest Hindu temple).

One of the earliest surviving examples of a gold helmet features a fleur-de-lys kept at Saint Petersburg’s Hermitage Museum. It is attributed to the ancient Scythians mentioned in the Bible who were a savage and cruel nomadic people who lived in modern-day Kazakhstan, between 700 to 300 BC.

“Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.” (Colossians 3:11)

The fleur-de-lys and the French monarchy

It is said that the fleur-de-lys was presented to Clovis I by an angel in a vision as a symbol of his purification when he converted to Christianity – or rather Catholicism – in 496. The angel told him to change his coat-of-arms from three golden toads to three golden fleur-de-lys, which he duly did.

Clovis I was king of the Franks and ruler of much of Gaul from 481 to 511, a key period during the transformation of the Roman Empire into Europe. He converted to Catholicism in 496. Clovis I was the founder of the Merovingian dynasty, and considered to be the founder of the modern nation of France. His name was Latinized to Louis; a name that would live on in French royalty for centuries through 18 kings and remains popular in French culture to the present day.

The fleur-de-lys adopted by the Catholic church

The fleur-de-lys can be seen everywhere in churches and cathedrals in ironwork and furniture, in stained glass, soft furnishings, ecclesiastical vestments, etc. Catholic clergy and Catholic saints are often pictured with it and Joan of Arc’s banner displayed several fleur-de-lys. Statues, and stained-glass windows depict the Virgin Mary holding the flower and it is used extensively in religious jewellery.

The fleur-de-lys in present times

In 1907, the trefoil was adopted as an emblem by the Scouts and Baden-Powell which came under criticism at the time due to its popular connection with war as a spearhead, as it is also an emblem of battle. Baden-Powell explained that he chose the fleur-de-lys because it marks due north on a compass rose and “shows a scout the way”.

Today, the fleur-de-lys can be seen in items of every description, where it is perhaps the most popular decorative pattern of all. There is an astonishing array of items which bear this symbol with all sorts of variations in colour, size and shape; carpets, curtains, wallpaper, bedding, cushions, furniture, crockery and items in glassware, jewellery and items of clothing such as t-shirts, neckties and scarves, etc. To illustrate the extent of popularity of this symbol, the images below show a search on one website for fleur-de-lys clothing returns 4,284 results, fleur-de-lys aprons 2,634, fleur-de-lys jigsaws 1,048, and fleur-de-lys acrylic blocks 3,045, fleur-de-lys tapestries 3,015, cushions 3,958, and bedding 3,352. Another website gives 2,154 results for fleur-de-lys fabric and Google provides 3,190,000 results for fleur-de-lys wallpaper.

There are some videos on Youtube on the history of fleur-de-lys and an excellent documentary called The Curse Behind the Fleur-de-Lys.

Identification and disposal of occult and cursed objects

Check home, garden, garage, office and transport of everyone (with their consent) living in the house against this list.

Cursed objects and symbols are everywhere these days. Unless someone has very few possessions, it will likely not be possible to find everything the first time or even second third times. Some find that they have to go through the house and garden etc. several times and still find things they have missed – or that were hidden – months or even years later.

Check carefully in places such as jewellery boxes and decorative items for any hidden symbols as there are many, some ingenious, ways to hide occult symbols such as 666.

Occult symbols are everywhere these days, often ingeniously hidden. Many, if not most, company logos are occult symbols, or contain occult symbols, such as car manufacturers but there is no need to do anything about these unless you would prefer to, as some do.

Occult and cursed objects such as decorative items containing hidden or overt occult symbolism should be identified and disposed of by throwing them in the trash. They should not be sold or given away as any curse/s and/or accompanying demons can be passed on. They can be burned but without any sort of ceremony and the ashes removed from the property as according to the Bible even ashes of cursed objects can be cursed.

“Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.” (Acts 19:19) (The pieces of silver in this Bible passage are believed to be drachmas and one drachma was about one day’s wages, so 50,000 drachmas was a fabulous amount of money in those days.)

It will help to say a renunciation prayer such as this one which, as with all renunciation prayers or even all prayer, is best said aloud and for a woman with her head covered.

Prayer to Renounce the Possession of Cursed Objects

“Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.” (1 John 5:21)

Owls

This applies to images and figures rather than the real creature, that is what they represent and where and why they are used. Owls are used as an Illuminati symbol and in freemasonry. An owl logo is used by the satanist club Bohemian Grove where there is a 40ft statue of an owl standing over a sacrificial altar, which is known as the owl of Molech.

Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones. And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not: Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.” (Leviticus 20:2-5)

What are the Roles of Owls in Mythology?

By J.E. Holloway

Owls play an important role in the mythology of many cultures around the world. In mythology, they can be companions to the gods, evil spirits, wise observers or the embodiment of natural forces. In many cultures, owls are messengers of death or otherwise associated with the powers of the underworld. This negative connotation my arise from the fact that owls are nocturnal; animals that are active at night often have negative roles in myth and folklore.

The most famous owls in mythology are probably those associated with Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom and warfare, patron deity of the city of Athens. Artists depicted Athena with an owl on one shoulder. Owls may have been connected to the goddess because of their ability to see well at night and their large eyes, which evoked her epithet, “bright-eyed Athena.” As a result of this association, owls continue to be symbols of wisdom in the Western world. One genus of owls retains the name “Athene.”

Mythology from other parts of the world often gives owls a more sinister role. Although the Romans adopted many elements of Greek religion, Roman folklore also featured dangerous owl-like creatures that could suck out the life force of an infant. Similarly, in Arabian mythology, owls were birds of ill omen. Legend had it that owls would hoot over the graves of murdered men, and their eggs were thought to have supernatural properties. Similar beliefs are known to exist or have existed in sub-Saharan Africa, where owls play the role of harbingers of death or bringers of ill luck. The owl’s nocturnal habits may account for its association with the underworld in world mythologies. In South and Central America, owls are again connected with death and the underworld.

Tulips

The following information about tulips is lengthy and not necessary to read but it is included as an interesting illustration of the type of things which happen when something is cursed.

It may sound far-fetched – even ridiculous – to claim that a flower could be cursed, and why tulips? Until one begins to look at the evidence to find there is a huge amount of information available on why tulips could be cursed. The more one looks into it, the clearer it becomes that while the tulip is undoubtedly a very beautiful flower, there is something not only different but rather strange about tulips. It seems that if ever there was such a thing as an actual cursed flower – rather than the symbolic fleur-de-lys – the tulip really is it.

The stylised tulip pattern loved by the Ottomans and others also bears an interesting similarity to the fleur-de-lys mentioned earlier on this article which has been called ‘the devil’s flower’ and is one of the most powerful occult symbols, perhaps second only to ‘666’. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that they are, in fact, one and the same. The similarity can be seen in the illustrations below showing stylised tulips from the Ottoman Empire.

At least the tulip and the fleur-de-lys are related as both are cursed occult symbols, although the tulip is a real flower, and the fleur-de-lys is not real but only a representative design said to be of a lily. The only other cursed flower we know of is the lotus due to its strong connection with Eastern mysticism (see in the list itself for more information on the lotus) to the tulip and the fleur-de-lys.

Lotus plants are related to water lilies but the flowers and foliage are on stalks which can reach up to 1.5m high above the water. The flowers and foliage pads of water lilies float on the water’s surface, except for some tropical water lilies.

Lotus patterns are cursed as have become symbols of Buddhism, the holiness of the lotus pond and the sight of lotuses blooming on the surface of the water have come to symbolize the Buddha’s “Pure Land,” or heaven. Buddha, in his enlightenment state, is often portrayed seated upon an open lotus flower, and in all the forms of Buddhism the lotus is symbolic of the highest spiritual attainment. In Asian art works, ‘buddhas’ and ‘bodhisattvas’ are frequently shown seated on lotus flowers.

Tulips are the national flower of both Iran and Turkey

A stylised tulip, enciphering the word “Allah”, represents the national emblem of Iran and is featured on the Iranian flag. As a national symbol of Turkey, tulips have had a major role in Turkish arts and culture for centuries and it is the current official tourism symbol. The Tulip Festival is held each April and the city parks, squares, and gardens are blooming with millions of tulips of every color.

Tulips and the Ottoman Empire

[From: Smithsonian Magazine] Originally found growing wild in the valleys of the Tien Shan Mountains (at the border where China and Tibet meet Afghanistan and Russia), tulips were cultivated in Istanbul as early as 1055. By the 15th century, Sultan Mehmed II of the Ottoman Empire had so many flowers in his 12 gardens that he required a staff of 920 gardeners. Tulips were among the most prized flowers, eventually becoming a symbol of the Ottomans, writes gardening correspondent for The Independent Anna Pavord in The Tulip.”

[From: The Language of Tulips] “The name ‘tulip’ derived from the Turkish word for turban. By the 15th century, tulips were among the most prized flowers; becoming the symbol of the Ottomans to the Turkish. The Ottoman Empire was an empire that controlled most of Southeastern Europe, Western Asia, and Northern Africa between the 14th and early 20th centuries. Tulips did not become popular to the West until the sixteenth century. In the 17th century ‘Tulip mania’ began, this was a period during the Dutch Golden Age when tulips became the most sought-after flower.

[From: Nomadicson.blog – What’s with the Tulips?]“The Ottoman standard of dress and its commodity culture incorporated their passion for the tulip. “Very fond” could possibly be a gross understatement. Tales abound of the tulip parties in which the palace grounds and gardens were a blanket of tulips with mirrors and lanterns strung from the tree branches. Within Istanbul, one could find tulips from the flower markets to the plastic arts to silks and textiles. Tulip bulbs could be found everywhere; the demand grew within the elite community where they could be found in homes and gardens. Therefore, the tulip is a symbol with mythical appeal, which can be found from Ottoman palaces to their clothing, which sustains a memory of the Ottoman Empire’s social past. The tulip was also praised in poetry and motifs used in paintings. To this day in modern Turkey the tulip is still considered the embodiment of perfection and beauty.”

[From: Tulipmania.art – A Collection of Remarkable Facts about Tulips]“The name the tulip originally bore in its homeland, Persia, was “laleh”, defining it as “Flower of God”, because the letters forming the name of the flower coincided with the letters forming the name of god – Allah. When the tulip traveled to the Ottoman Empire, it preserved the roots of its name, being called “lale” in Turkish. How come then, that it got to be called “tulip”?

“When the tulip arrived to Europe from the Ottoman Empire, nobody knew the name of this exotic novelty of unprecedented appeal and unparalleled beauty. It was addressed with different names, from red lily, to lilionarcisus, until its first written mention as “tulipam” in 1554, in a letter of Ogier Ghiselin de Busbecq, the Austrian ambassador to the Ottoman Empire. The story has it that once, while traveling along blooming tulip fields, the diplomat, who saw the flowers for the first time, stopped to have a closer look and admire the blooms.

“The workers in the field were wearing turbans, which they decorated with tulip blooms, so when the Ambassador pointed to the head of a worker asking what it was, the interpreter answered “tuliband”, meaning the headdress, and not the flower stuck between the folds of the turban. This is how a misunderstanding made out of the Turkish “lale” a “tulipam”.”

[From: Cambridge Library Collection – Tulips Or Turbans?]

“The origin of the word ‘tulip’ itself is of course confused. ‘Tulipan’, as given by Busbecq, is generally translated as ‘turban’, though its basic meaning is a muslin or gauze-like textile (from which turbans were made, presumably). The Turkish word for tulip is ‘lale’ and derives from the Persian. (The Lale Devri, or ‘Tulip Age’ was a twelve-year period of peace and prosperity in Turkey between 1718 and 1730.) Turks allegedly liked to decorate their turbans with tulips: was it this that gave rise to Busbecq’s misunderstanding, or were the flowers nicknamed ‘tulips’ because they had a turban shape? Either way, by the 1570s, the word had been adopted into most European languages as the designator of the flower (though ‘tulipant’ remained the word for a turban): tulip (Eng.), tulipe (Fr.), tulipano (It.), Tulpe (Ger.), tulp (Dutch).”

[From: Teleflora – Ten Weird Facts About Tulips] “During the 1600s when tulips were extremely valuable they caused what’s now known as “Tulip Mania.” People in the Netherlands traded tulips for their value, and the flowers actually ended up causing what some say is the first economic crash, likely due to the bubonic plague. At one point in history, tulips were the most expensive flower. In fact, in the 1600s the flowers were more valuable than most people’s homes, and cost almost 10 times what an average working-class man earned in a year.”

[From: CNBC.com – Market Mania and How Obsession with Tulips Caused an Economic Crash] “Due to patchy historical evidence, it’s difficult to ascertain the reasons behind the collapse. However, it’s commonly believed that the bubble burst because of poor financial regulations, coupled with unrealistically high market prices. This was one of the first examples of a speculative bubble in history. Today, the term “tulip mania” is used metaphorically to refer to any large economic bubble when asset prices deviate from intrinsic values.”

[From: Tulip Bulb Mania – The First Economic Bubble] “Tulips first arrived in Western Europe in the late 1500’s, and, being an import from their native Turkey, commanded the same exoticism that spices and oriental rugs did and became a luxury item destined for the gardens of the affluent: it was deemed a proof of bad taste in any man of fortune to be without a collection of tulips. Following the affluent, the merchant middle classes of Dutch society (which did not exist in such developed form elsewhere in Europe at the time) sought to emulate their wealthier neighbors and, too, demanded tulips.

“Though the Dutch were captivated by these flowers, they realised that tulips, courtesy their fragile nature, could scarcely be transplanted or even kept alive without careful cultivation. This made them resort to techniques to grow and produce the tulips locally, establishing a flourishing business.”

[From: Tulipmania Art Journal] “Great Britain has its particular love story with the tulip. The bulbs reached England in 1577 and ever since the tulip was extensively grown. In the Victorian Times hundreds of Tulip Societies were established all over Britain, one of them, the Wakefield and North of England Tulip Society is still thriving nowadays.

The Story of the World’s Most Coveted Flower & the Extraordinary Passions It Aroused

A movie made about ‘Tulip Mania’ took 14 years to make

‘Tulip Fever’ began production in 2003 and after numerous setbacks and delays, it was finally released in 2017. This was also the last film to be theatrically released by The Weinstein Company, which filed for bankruptcy following a series of sexual assault cases against co-founder Harvey Weinstein.

[From: Vulture.com – A Tribute to the Truly Bungled Release of Tulip Fever] “Has there ever been a film as enjoyably cursed as Tulip Fever? A period romance about a painter and his married muse who try to play the tulip market, Tulip Fever at least had an auspicious debut: Dreamworks optioned the 2000 novel by Deborah Moggach at the proof stage, long before it would become a best seller, and some of the biggest names in Hollywood flirted with adapting it. Four years later, Tulip Fever nearly got off the ground with Jude Law and Keira Knightley starring and Shakespeare in Love director John Madden at the helm, but shortly after planting 12,000 tulip bulbs at the start of production, the British government closed a critical tax loophole that blew up the budget, closed down the film, and left all those poor little tulips to wither.”

[From: The Guardian: Tulip Fever comes back from the brink]

Last year, Tulip Fever became the highest profile victim of the government’s closure of tax loopholes used by film investors. Now London-based production company Ruby Films has confirmed that the film will shoot in eastern Europe instead of the UK, thus making it affordable on a smaller budget. The BBC and the UK Film Council have both contributed cash.

No casting has yet been confirmed. Keira Knightley and Jude Law were once linked with the film, and there are still hopes of attracting performers of similar quality despite the lower budget. A new director, Peter Chelsom, will replace Shakespeare in Love director John Madden. Chelsom is best known for directing American romantic comedies such as Shall We Dance.

Moggach’s novel – published in 2000 and optioned by Ruby Films and Steven Spielberg’s Dreamworks while still at proof stage – is set in 17th-century Amsterdam and follows a passionate affair between a married woman and an artist hired to paint her portrait. In order to escape the woman’s husband, the couple gamble their savings on the booming market for tulip bulbs, with unexpected consequences.

“They’d sunk the tank to make the canals and they’d planted 12,000 tulip bulbs in little pots,” says Moggach. “Then five hours before the money was locked off and safe, the government closed this tax loophole without any warning, and completely destroyed our movie.”

[From: Plantura Magazine: Are Tulips Poisonous?] Just handling tulip bulbs can cause allergic, painful, and itchy rashes. All parts of the tulip are poisonous, because the tulipalin (plant poison) is present in all parts of the plant. The tulip bulb is affected, as well as the stem, leaves and flower. We often hear of cases of poisoning where tulip bulbs have been mistaken for conventional edible onions. Tulips can be toxic to animals and humans in several ways. The toxin tulipalin contained in the plant can because damage both internally and externally. Smaller animals such as dogs, cats or rodents are more susceptible to oral ingestion of tulipalin because they usually ingest larger amounts and also carry a smaller body weight. In horses, the increased intake often leads to stomach cramps.”

[From:Higgypop.com – ‘Tiptoe Through The Tulips’ the Scariest Song Ever]
“Tiptoe Through The Tulips” is strangely appropriate on the soundtrack of “Insidious” which is a horror film that successfully portrays the presence of demons in a family house. I’m not the only person who thinks this is a scary song, there’s been plenty of discussion about its eerie qualities online. One comment posted online speculates that the song is so terrifying because of its appearance in a horror movie: “I think it has something to do with the movie ‘Insidious’.” However, what’s odd is that this comment comes from someone who goes on to say, “I’ve never seen ‘Insidious,’ can someone please explain to me why it’s so creepy?” So, if this person finds the song creepy and they haven’t seen the 2010 movie then I guess we can rule ‘Insidious’ out as a cause.”

[From: Perennial Meadows – Broken tulips The Beautiful Curse] “Flared and striking, so-called “Broken Tulips” (or ‘Rembrandts’) are like nothing else in the Tulip world, really like nothing else in the entire flower world. Their bright colors and distinctive streaks immediately grab the eye and don’t let go. In the 17th century, at the height of the Dutch Tulip Mania, it was these flowers that had everyone running wild. With exalted names like ‘Viceroy’ and the legendary ‘Semper Augustus’, a single bulb could sell for more than a house. Breeders were so desperate to produce them that they turned to things like adding paint to the soil, or buying ‘miracle potions’ from street vendors (unsurprisingly, these did not work).

Now, almost four hundred years later, these once revered flowers have fallen from their pedestal, only grown by hobbyists and rare specialty breeders (although you can see a few in the Hortus Bulborum’s collection garden in Limmen, Holland). In fact, broken Tulips are illegal in the Netherlands today without special provisions.

So what caused this dramatic shift? Unfortunately, the source of their beauty is also a curse. While Tulip fanatics had long noticed that broken Tulips came smaller and weaker than others, it was not until 1928 that scientist Dorothy Cayley discovered the cause to be a virus. This ‘Tulip breaking virus’ infects the bulb and causes the flower to ‘break’ its single lock. However, it also weakens the bulb and inhibits the proper development of ‘offsets’, new bulbs genetically identical to their mother. These new bulbs also carry the virus, and the degradation continues until, in most cases, the genetic line is wiped out. It is for this reason that legendary breeds like the Semper Augustus are now extinct, lost in time to the very thing that made it so famous. Worst of all, this virus is easily spread by aphids and other sucking insects, and can infect other Tulips or Lilies, and so for a typical garden it is NOT something you want to see and if you do, it is recommended that you dig out the flowers and remove the bulbs.”

[From: Cambridge Planet – Tulips and The Curse of Beauty]

“Think of a word to describe disease. Any number of negative adjectives may come to mind: painful, sorrowful, terrifying. But can a disease be beautiful? Enter Tulip Breaking Virus (TBV), a disease of (unsurprisingly) tulips that causes colour-breaking in the plant’s flower. Colour-breaking is where the flower of the tulip displays more than one colour; for tulips, in a world free from disease, come only in solid colours.

“In fact, TBV is one of five plant viruses that cause tulips to break this restriction, creating patterned petals in infinite combinations of streaks, stripes, feathers and flames. The cause of such wondrous symptoms is the irregular distribution of anthocyanin within the plant cells. Within TBV two strains are recognised, a severe and a moderate form. The severe form causes lack of anthocyanin leading to light breaking and the moderate form causing dark breaking due to excess anthocyanin.

“The virus is historically important as being the cause of tulip mania, a period in Dutch history where tulip bulbs sold for increasingly high amounts. It was the rare bulbs affected by TBV that sold for the most, and at one point 12 acres of land were offered for one bulb of Semper Augustus, believed to be one of only two bulbs in existence at the time!”

“Infected tulips display other, less aesthetically pleasing symptoms too. Leaves become mottled and the bulb becomes increasingly stunted until it lacks the energy to flower and the bulb withers away or breaks apart. The unique beauty of these flowers is temporary, and after a brief flash of radiance their delicate splendour is lost to the annals of history. This is true for some of the most famous varieties, such as Semper Augustus or Viceroy, of which a single bulb sold for more than ten times the average craftsman’s annual earnings during the tulip mania.

Today, infected tulips still exist such as Absalon, which flowers a chocolate background with rich yellow swirls and has existed since at least 1780. However, to prevent spread of the virus many countries, including the UK, have placed a ban on the sale of “broken bulbs”. For those still desperate to get their hands on patterned tulips, stable variants do exist that are the result of breeding and not of viral infection, such as Rem’s Sensation, though to many they do not match the spellbinding beauty of a flower doomed to die.”

[From: Tulipmania Art Journal – A Collection of Remarkable Facts About Tulips] “Tulips have mesmerised people for centuries in different countries around the world and it was somehow normal and even inevitable that such a praised flower would inspire for the creation of a special vessel, designed to emphasise its beauty and uniqueness. It is hard to think of a vase especially designed for one type of flower, but the tulip has even two vases for itself and they both come from two different countries, which adulated the flower for centuries, Iran and Turkey.”

What is a graven image?

Taken from “Graven Images According to Scripture” on “The Way Prepared”

As we look at these Hebrew word definitions for ‘graven images,’ we can summarise them as follows:

  • An object or shape that is fabricated, or poured out, or cast, such as with bronze, silver, or gold.
  • An object, the use of which is considered by Yahuweh as a ‘drink offering’ or libation, which is something poured out as an offering to another — in essence a substitute for Yahuweh.
  • An object that is fabricated, or cut or hewn into a specific, forbidden ‘shape’ or likeness. There are many modern fabrication techniques and processes that could be used to produce such an object or shape, so it is important not to limit the fabrication to only two processes of cutting and hewing.

So we see that ‘graven images’ are objects that are ‘graven’ — that is, fabricated into a particular likeness or shape that is forbidden in Scripture. From archaeological discoveries, as well as from Scriptural descriptions, it appears that fabrication of these forbidden objects, or shapes, could have been by any number of processes, such as moulding and shaping, as with clay, or cutting, as with an axe or knife, to produce a particular likeness or shape. Some modern processes used to produce shapes include not only cutting, but turning on a lathe, stamping, moulding, compressing, inflating of an empty shape, and filling of a sewn or fabricated shape.

You should add “Cartoons (certain),” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “Hoodoo,” “Dybbuk box,” “Nganga,” “Cauldron (witches),” “Sex toys,” “Ravens,” “Eagles,” “Butterflies (symbol for mind control),” “Angels,” “Gargoyles (esp. in architecture),” “Sun / Starburst,” “Ventriloquist dummies,” “Mannequins,” “Caskets/Tombstones,” “Daggers/Swords- ceremonial & ritualistic,” “Mafia/Godfather,” “Assassins Creed,” “Skull & Bones flag (anything),” “Mummified remains of anything formerly alive,” “Cremation ashes & urns,” “Taxidermy animals,” “Human body parts (teeth, blood in a vial, hair, nails, bones, skulls),” “Altars,” “Incense,” “Peace Pipe,” “Hookah,” “Carved pumpkins (Halloween),” “Video games (most),” “Pin The Tail On The Donkey game,” “Pinatas,” “Bulls/cows,” “Olympic Games/Torch (anything).”

    • sue says:

I understand the reason for most things you’ve listed, but why the pinatas and pin the tail on the donkey?

      • The answer to why are pinatas cursed can be found in Wikipedia, which shows they have a long history firmly rooted in idolatry.

In “Pin the Tail on the Donkey”“, children are blindfolded and spun around so they are disoriented, put the tail in the wrong place and the others laugh at them as a result.

      • Prophetess Anna says:

(This isnt really a reply, couldnt find where to comment on this post. I’m telling you, I almost fainted reading some of these). BOTTOM LINE. We cannot cancel the possession of EVERTHING satan chooses to influence the use of in his demonic rituals of acts of ignorance. satan is still trying to be like the most high. ALot on the list is obviously for those of us Christians with discernment a recognizable evil, but if we toss out everything the devil has or will use for his own desire we will soon toss out our Tub, drinking glasses and bowls, spoons and forks, cars, jobs, windows, houses even some babies born with a certain birthmark, cmon people dont buy this whole list. Sure TV has some evil, so does the Internet and even moreso, God’s people have restraint, will-power and an anointed discernment with Prayer to know or learn their limitations in everything they have or do. Turn the Channel, denounce Cable, if we as a people take proper action with prayer the FCC will repent of allowing ungodliness in media form, entertainment and broadcasting. We didnt always have such garbage on TV, even the news is gorey, and graphic, things they never used to show, crime dramas show graphic violence and mimic blown-up human bodies and things. Whew! we can legally reverse all this, The Lucy show wouldnt even show her and her real husband Ricky in the same bed on TV at first. We can fix all this mess with National and Global Repentence and Prayer and Fast. Even Peter in the New Testament thought he couldnt eat all meats, thinking some were common or unclean, but the Lord cleanses it, and said “receive it with Prayer, Arise, Kill and Eat”
If Satan has his way he will adopt everything you now have and they’ll tell you it’s his and it’s wicked, at this rate satan can claim Everything we touch.

        • Bethany Saxton says:

I will save replying to what you have written; but I will call you out on your name. No true prophet glorifies themselves by referring to themselves as a prophet.

By doing so, you are simply declaring that you are, in fact, a FALSE PROPHET, who if given any insight is given so by Satan and NOT by The Lord God Almighty.

Repent for the time is at Hand, Sayeth The Lord Your God.

          • Dora says:

While your comments are true Anna makes a good point in that the above list contains almost everything one can think of Care Bears Seriously that is demonic Give me a Break that is LUDICROUS

          • Jenny Foster says:

No, it’s not ludicrous to include Care Bears on this list. Did you see what it says on one of the quotes above?

“Care Bears offer a form of Humanistic psychology, designed to include love, involvement and spontaneity, with the goal of instilling personal growth and the achievement of full human potential. Putting it simply, Humanism teaches we are God, there are no absolutes and we control our own destiny.”

So yes, as sweet and innocent as they appear to be, they actually are not and there is a problem with Care Bears.

        • Dorian Kreindler says:

I agree with Prophetess Anna; this list, while I’m sure well-intentioned, I believe crosses the line of throwing out the baby with the bathwater. (Why guided imagery [after all, God created our imaginations], chiropractic, naturopathy, osteopathy, shiatsu, and ayurveda, among others. I suppose Judaism would make this list as well?) The rainbow has been appropriated as a gay pride symbol–does that now make it evil (Genesis 9:8-17)? Oh, and regarding Bethany Saxton’s comment below that “no true prophet glorifies themselves by referring to themselves as a prophet”: I believe this is false humility; if people term themselves as CEOs or MDs or JDs no one would question those designations, and Elijah was known as Elijah the prophet, the Acts of the Apostles refer to founders of the early Church, and even Jesus (Yeshua) asked his disciples who they said He was and confessed Himself as Messiah. Identity theft is a rampant satanic agenda in operation in the Body of Christ right now–false fivefold ministers will be known by their fruits, not by declaring how they are called.

          • Dorian Kreindler says:

Someone please explain to me, also, what is the problem with teddy bears?

          • Otto_Didactic says:

yes judaism is on the list, the star of david is the Seal of Solomon

        • Andrea says:

If you were truly a prophetess from YAHWEH, you’d know that what you quoted above: “Even Peter in the New Testament thought he couldnt eat all meats, thinking some were common or unclean, but the Lord cleanses it, and said “receive it with Prayer, Arise, Kill and Eat” (Sic) is referring to human beings (Non-Jews).

And if you don’t believe this article than you’re not Holy Spirit led, but deceived like the majority of worldly Christians today!

          • Dorian Kreindler says:

If one is to be that legalistic, then cancel Christmas and Easter as well.

          • Yes, many Christians do not celebrate either Christmas or Easter as they both have pagan roots. ‘Easter’ was originally ‘Passover” and Jesus was not born at that time of year. There is a fascinating documentary called ‘Christmas Unveiled’ available on YouTube.

“Shepherds keep watch over their flocks at night. The language in the original Greek implies that the shepherds are with their flock all night, as they guard them during the three watches of the night. Shepherds stay with their flocks during the night when ewes are giving birth to ensure that newborn lambs are dried off and kept warm during the first cold night. In the fall after the harvest, shepherds and their sheep could enter and stay in crop fields, which is when Jesus was likely born.”

          • Dorian Kreindler says:

More specifically, he was born on September 11 (Tishri 1), 3 BC, at the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah/Rosh HaShanah). (3 BC because of the changes between Julian and Gregorian calendars). I know because I’ve studied the astronomy and seen His birth sky profile.

        • Otto_Didactic says:

Repent allowing ungodliness in broadcasting? Do you work for the FCC or something? Thats something they would say. Your entire comment seems in defense of television, one of the most effective mind-control devices ever unleashed on the population. Its called broad’casting’ for crying out loud, as in casting spells in a general sense. I Love Lucy? you mean Lucy-fer. The news is a psychological warfare mechanism, the negative imagery is the point, it always has been. Also, your ‘global’ remark is another red flag. The bible teaches the Firmament, Truthinreality should add the ‘globe’ to occult imagery, heliocentric is Sun Worship, All of NASA sigils are satanic.

This was a surprizingly thorough article, kudos. Although, I strongly disagree about the history of the tulip industry. International banksters have planned every economic rise and fall and to seriously suggest a couple flowers is responsible is childish.

      • Anyone can choose how far they want to go with cursed objects or what they want to believe. Many are of the view that when it comes to the demonic it is better to be safe than sorry.

There is definitely something about tulips, although we don’t pretend to know what that is. Perhaps someone may make a video or short film about it, like the excellent film someone has made explaining why the fleur-de-lys is cursed after they had wondered how that could be, and which has been linked to in this article.

Update: More information has now been added to the article as to why tulips are included on this list, and although extensive, it is worth a look.

        • Philip says:

The Bible states that after each day of creation God said “it was good”. How cursed can owls and other REAL animals and flowers be? God himself said they were good.

          • Yes, it’s true that God said that what He had created was good, but then there was the Fall of man and we see this:

“Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. “Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; And you shall eat the plants of the field;” (Genesis 3:17-18)

More information has now been added to explain why owls are considered to be cursed, in addition to the fact that the Bible says they live in unclean places.

        • Dora says:

Truth in Reality Have you read GODS Word that says that NOTHING is CURSED if used to love and glorify GOD. The things on this list is silly Teddy Bears Really and Care Bears GOD created all things to be used for his glory and our comfort and therefore not to be despised and hated OBJECTS only become evil when used to harm people or harm animals When objects are used to destroy than they become cursed.

          • We would like to refer you to something written by John Piper, not because we advocate him but because he is widely accepted as a respected theologian, pastor, and author in mainstream Christianity. As one of the main foundations for the Occult and Cursed Objects list is idolatry, then with a clear understanding of what idolatry is, it is easy to see how teddy bears or care bears – which are a form of doll (i-dol) – could indeed be cursed.

There are many different types of dolls and, for an extreme example, a Barbie doll is not going to be cursed in the same way that a voodoo doll is cursed. Clearly, a teddy bear is not going to be cursed in the same way as – for example – a Buddha figure, or a ouija board, as it is always a matter of degree. Also it depends on one’s attitude to these things. This list is a guide, and as in everything, common sense should be applied.

Can you tell me why Seventh Day Adventism is on the list please?

  6. Seventh Day Adventism is a form of Christianity and as with other Christian sects and denominations, there are many good Christians within them. Seventh Day Adventism may well be one of the ‘better’ ones. The truth is though we are clearly told in the Bible not to have sects and denominations, that there is one fold and there is only one Good Shepherd and that all the rest are hirelings and will flee when the wolf comes. The Bible also tells us there is no other name by which men may be saved but the name of Jesus.

“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.” (1 Corinthians 1:10-17)

    • Ken Graham says:

Seventh day Adventists also do not believe in Hell, they believe that God is to loving to ever cast anyone into a hell, but iniliates the lost. They also follow the teachings of Ellen White, and have set many dates for Christs return all dates came and went.

So if you want to fault 7th day. Fault them for that.

          • Bethany Saxton says:

            Carmen lee,

Yes, God Is Triune. And so are we as we are made in His Image. We have a soul, a spirit, and a physical form.

God is referred to as the Father because while in this human form there is no way to fully comprehend His Omnipotence, Omnipresence, and His Omiscience.

He is referred to as the Father to represent the perfect manifestation of a Father who Is Loving and also just.

Just as an earthly father, He sees what we are unable to which is why He has given us certain commands and guidelines to live by. He wants the very best for us and so, at times, He must discipline and rebuke us in order to discipline us to return to His Wisdom and to His Direction.

He gave a portion of Himself in the form of Jesus Christ so that we would have a tangible representation of Him in the flesh – someone with Whom we could relate to and Whose example we Are to Follow.

Jesus was neither Omniscient nor Omnipresent until after He became The Christ upon His Resurrection.

The Holy Spirit was given to all of His Followers following His crucifixion so that He could continue to Guide and Direct His Followers without His physical Presence.

Once we have Accepted Jesus Christ as The Son Of God and Invited Him Into our lives to Be our Savior and have fully surrendered to Him, we are then indwelt with The Holy Spirit.

We are all Ambassadors Of Jesus Christ as we are Called to Be His Hands and Feet until His Return. While we are here, we are in the process of Sanctification which should reflect our Becoming more and more like Jesus Christ. We are to live By His Example while He walked the earth and to Share the Gospel as He Instructed on the Sermon on the Mount.

Unless we are Reading His Living Word which is very much Alive and Active and Seeking Growth, Knowledge, Wisdom, and Truth; unless we are in constant Communion (prayer) with Him; unless we are worshipping Him in song/worship music, we do not truly know him.

He clearly stated that He detests cowards as well as lukewarm followers. He said that He will spit them out.

Please, if you’ve not already come to See The Light that Is Christ Jesus, now Is The Time to repent and to put Him first in your life.

If you choose to read from the KJV, be sure that it is not the NKJV.

As always, Ask for Discernment and Guidance before Accepting anything that is shared as Truth from another human being. We are all flawed and although many are given the Gift of Prophecy, they are still human and may not always fully understand any Insight that they have been given, which is why they also need to seek wisdom from the Holy Spirit in understanding what has been revealed to them.

I share all of this in The Love Of Jesus Christ,

May God Bless you and Keep you,

            ~Bethany Grace

I also wanted to comment on your mention of Jewish mysticism. Please look into it. It is not of God; it is Of Satan.

Satan has infiltrated churches, both Judeo Christian as well as Jewish churches. the mistake that so many make is that they choose to not educate themselves and they simply choose to blindly follow anything that tickles their ears which is what we are also warned about in the book of Timothy.

People NEED TO READ THEIR BIBLES.

What about skull and bones? What is that under?

    • Son of the Most High says:

I presume, death magic: Ritual coffins with a mystic murder, death, burial and resurrection.

      • “Skull and Bones” is the name of a major evil secret society. A skull and bones image is also used as a flag for pirates, so a symbol of piracy, theft, often violence and murder, and general debauchery, also death.

  11. This is a really great list. It would be greatly helpful though, to list why. Several things aren’t bad in nature but can made bad, like the lotus you posted and several other things. I’m not sure on most of what the list items are but am aware of some since I was into the occult..birth charts..numerology…etc. Anime is a great addition to the list. Anime (short for animation) is from Japan. They have heavy Buddhist beliefs over there..and other beliefs I forgot the name of.
Most of the animes feature temples, praying to God’s and nothing but magic and idolatry. They are into “magical girls” which I was into. These girls are idols for young fans and where exactly are these magical powers coming from? Look up anime toys and Sailor Moon..dragon ball z…etc.
I made two videos recently on two anime shows. On YouTube if you search it’s “Cardcaptor Sakura exposed” and “sailor moon exposed” by Becky B and Jesus. Lots of mysticism and even blasphemy. Sailor Moon is depicted as the messiah and it also has characters pinned to crosses two times, third eye symbolism…etc. Sailor Moon is quite Greek mythology based some characters are from mythology. I idolised Sailor Moon myself.
Japan is also very heavy into “hentai” which is porn manga or anime. They also have underage sex manga and homosexual manga/anime titles. Men are seen reading these on Japanese subways. That exists worldwide but it’s popular in Japan and has spread to overseas. It’s culturally accepted over in Japan. I’ve never been heavily into anime but I have seen videos about the evil in them. I was very much into sailor moon and Cardcaptor Sakura so know all about that. My videos don’t list the homosexual material in these shows because it’s occult focused. But they both feature several homosexual relationships and characters. Homosexuality had more acceptance to homosexuality back then. In todays age this is now celebrated and uncensored on tv or internet for children. They are now not censoring these homosexual characters from Japan.
Anime is a huge distraction and becomes addictive as well. Japan even has huge stores dedicated to these anime shows and the characters which is a form of idolatry. Even music stars have stores devoted to merchandise of them. (Look up Akb48 store).

I am dealing with people telling me things I say to myself in secret. Usually it is about the way I am feeling about the people who have hurt me this way by telling me my thoughts without permission.I have a child by a man I had a vision of and he repeats things back to me the stuff I pray to God about or say in private. My father says I am going to cry wolf but doesn’t give an explanation and he told me that when he dies he’s going to put his spirit in my two year old son. Also I feel like getting revenge on people who put my thoughts in fear. A lady told me that if I ever cursed her or cast a spell on her she was going to come after me and have me. I have never shared open practices with anyone about Satan worship. I only have dealt with it in my thinking. Please tell me what this is and how I shut those satanic doors. These people are to blame for my actions because I never learned about cursing until someone said I was going to do it

    • Brigitte M-C says:

It seems to me that you need deliverance from divining spirits around you. I would advise you to find a church and committed bible believing christians who have experience in helping people be set free from this kind of oppression that you are suffering from. It is probable that your father also has something to do with your problems if he threatens to pass on his spirit to your child. That is not good and part of whitchcraft.
Have you truly given your life to Jesus, do you truly believe he is the Son of God who died for your sins and to set you free. Father God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit love you and want you to be free. May the Lord guide you and lead you and I pray that you will find soon the freedom and forgiveness you need. And then you will be a wonderful witness to the Father’s goodness and His love for you. Have courage, do not lose heart, the Father will gladly give you the Kingdom, little sheep.

  14. Ann Marie says:

If you have any of these objects, what is the proper way to dispose of them?

    • concerned christian says:

Throw them out. Do not give to another people, do not do any ritual: just throw them into the garbage, as the garbage they are. Do not do “special things/proper rites”, because this is like saying you have to fear them, that they actually work and the power is in them, not in Jesús. Shake the fear out of you and let them go happily.

    • Janis Hough says:

I have an owl and an elephant that I have gotten rid of caused a great uproar in my house from my husband still not forgiving me but I must put God first and so they went.

      • Jenny Foster says:

I knew a committed Christian whose wife had a collection of elephants including Hindu decorated elephants. She refused to get rid of them and he refused to stand up to her and neither would listen to warnings and he ended up with a deadly cancer. I don’t know the details as I left the area, but although he was quite ill for a long time he ultimately survived. Who can know if they are connected – they may or may not be – but something like that certainly could help in setting up the conditions, and are things like that really worth it? I personally certainly wouldn’t risk it for the sake of a few effectively worthless nick-nacks.

  15. Jonathan says:

I’m grateful for your list and post. I’ve just left the New Age movement and am firmly with Christ and as I pray for forgiveness and read the Bible, I’m looking for answers of what “to do” and “not to do” according to The Word and scripture.

I’m curious about this list. Are there specific reasons for each mentioned in scripture? Like naturopathy, and physical healing modalities? Is it because they do not involve God, Jesus, or the holy spirit?

    Thanks for your response ahead.

  16. Becky says:

Been thinking of some other things. The MBTI personality test. It is typing people into 16 personality types. That every person on the planet can be fit in to one of these “types”. To me that seems like astrology…something about it just feels wrong to me. I used to be quite into it and people say it’s ok. I looked it up and it is linked to Carl Jung and I’ve heard nothing but bad about him. Then the enneagram test as well. Completely occult. But disguised as psychology.

  17. What about worry stones and worry beads? They are on occult websites but am unsure about them.

  18. What do you think about fairy tales and nursery rhymes to the list?. Not every nursery rhyme is bad but there are so many tinged with darkness and death and some seem almost like incantions..or superstitious chants. I always thought rock a bye baby was morbid and ring a ring of roses like a chant of sorts. There are probably some occult links to many of these nursery rhymes. (Not all). Ring a ring of roses I was told was connected to the Black Plague but am unsure. It sounds suspicious to me?

Fairytales are all full of murder, violence, witchcraft, bestiality, magic and really dark themes. I never thought they were good.

I mean red riding hood has her grandmother eaten by a wolf and the woodcutter cuts up open the wolf to get her out, in Jack and the beanstalk the giant was a cannibal…the seeds were magic seeds. I mean..you could go on!

I just read something about nursery rhymes which isn’t too good….Alister Crowley said something about them I don’t care to repeat.

  19. What is the occult connection to wind chimes?

  20. jahn merks says:

    Allow me to say this:
For you are Protestants and not Christians…Your church/es are not founded by Christ but of Men!
Your Bible is misintrepreted and made you believe in it.
For Protestants are Misled by the Devil since Marin Luther…the first person to separate from the Roman Catholic Church
Remember: You are only human and to Err is Human. Being literal in definitions and examples will make your works even confusing and a sign of being misled, especially when you quote from your own transated bible.
You could be wrong in what you are saying…..remember…misled by the devil is a possiblity in what you do.

    • Then surely it is a possibility that those who do not iisten to what God has said in the Old Testament which still applies today, are misled by the Enemy?

We are instructed to look for clarity by checking whether there is any repeat in the NT and in the case of cursed objects we can see that there is.

That is the burning of the occult books at Acts 19:19: “Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.”

One source gives the present day value thus: “Fifty thousand silver coins in any case represents much money and many converts. If these were drachmas, the value was 50,000 days worth of wages. That would amount to several million dollars worth of wages in present earning power.”

Another source says this: “Note that a drachma was about a day’s wages. That means that the given value of the trash was about the same as 1 man’s wages for 137 years. Or 10 men’s wages for almost 14 years. The point is that the things they once considered valuable now meant nothing and could be tossed into the flames.”

Also even the ashes from burning cursed objects are cursed and therefore should not be left on the property.

Derek Prince is a false teacher and “spiritual warfare” is false doctrine. Fast and pray is another good one for tough situations.

    • Yes, but that’s not what the Bible says.

      • Pineapplegrl says:

The Bible does not mention some of the items on the list as well. How is aromatherapy occultic. God gave us these scents. I believe that no weapon formed against me will prosper. We shall drink poison and it will not harm us. Jesus has set us free and he has not given us the fear of tulips.

        • The Bible says that we should fear only God, but the fact is that curses are a reality and there is more than sufficient reason to believe that certain things are cursed, such as, for example, fleur-de-lys and tulips.

A great deal of information has been provided in the article. Also, there is a link to an excellent film on Youtube explaining why the fleur-de-lys is cursed made by someone who wondered why so started to research and was amazed by what he found. In fact, it is very likely that tulips and fleur-de-lys are related as in some representations they appear to be very similar in shape.

      • It’s not about us having fear of things. The Bible tells us to fear God is the beginning of wisdom and to fear only God.

It’s not aromatherapy itself which is fine, just oils made from plants, but only in the context of the New Age which is very cursed as it is in fact a deception.

Anyone can choose how far they want to go with cursed objects or what they want to believe. Many are of the view that when it comes to the demonic it is better safe than sorry.

There is definitely something about tulips, although we don’t pretend to know what that is. Since this post, more information has been added into the article on that particular subject.

        BUT

“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: CURSED IS THE GROUND for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them. And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.” (Genesis 3)

    • If the breathing therapy is used to help with asthma, and sometimes cure it, and it is purely a medical procedure then it should be fine.

Problems usually come in if it is attached to a certain school of thought, or belief, something New Age, or quasi-religious, etc. which will not align with the Bible.

  23. Mary Ann says:

The Catholic Church???? FYI we are the first Christians and follower’s of Jesus -we do not worship any other person but Jesus. We honor Mary and saints -we pray to them to intercede for us because we do not feel worthy to go directly to God. You dont follow Christ you disobey him, you go by what pope and clergy say rather than the Bible. Christ said call no one father for you have a Father in heaven. constantine never left his pagan priesthood they took pagan objects and veiled them as christian. you were not the first christians that is factualy incorrect and a blatant lie. it came 300 years after and the popery system was not established at Jesus time. It is Christ who is the Rock of salvation NOT peter. you also sacrifice Christ over and over again. pope etc deliberately seek to deceive the masses read the Bible. the NT. they also let in gothism etc and Theresa preached false teaching to hindus that they didn’t have to turn to Christ to be saved. but he’s the only way to salvation. its not christian its pagan. see Fred Tarsitano. he uses Bible scripture is God breathed (except new age Bibles) and unholy koran is antichrists book.

      • Anna says:

That’s the whole point of Jesus he is the mediator between us and God because we can’t go God alone. i cant believe you said that! That is denying Jesus Christ and its not about anti catholic feelings it’s about truth (Christ) praying for saints to intercede no matter how unworthy you feel is plain disobedience to God of Abraham it absolutely defies him and his command to Love the Son its refusing to acknowledge Jesus was enough. That explains why catholics join blasphemous WOF movement who deny that Christ’s sacrifice on the cross was sufficient. Christ spent 33 years serving God he had nothing for himself he did not marry and he died a horrific death after being birched and the whipping in itself opened up blood vessels and some people ended up with their guts hanging out. Then he was nailed to cross. and died he rose on third day. Any one who beleives in him will have everlasting life. Don’t mislead people. this is so blasphemous to bypass Christ and go via saints. It ignores Christ’s death for us. it was costly price believers were bought at a price. to go via a “saint” is to refuse to honour Christ and what God did for you. It’s to deny Christ. that’s abomination. it’s denying his authority and power to save. Also all true believers are saints we are to pray FOR them not to them. and only for living saints. The whole point about faith is obedience and trust to come to Lord when you feel unworthy we are unworthy servants. to trust him that’s the whole point what you said indicate you are not christians because you deny Christ. is that the real reason you pray to saints or is it just your deduction isn’t because you are told to from childhood you are shown statues told to pray to them. I know my son went to catholic school. It’s idolatry. the act of bowing or even praying to statues or in front of them is an act of worship! i. e idolism. Fleur de lys is used as symbol. Why dont you go home pray genuinely to Christ or living God ask him rather than rely on your own understanding. The lies you catholics have been told shocking that you perpetuate them. My son might perish because of catholics. You fight other christians, you scream at each other, you abuse, you smack peoples kid’s about, nothing saintly. And yes you ARE all the same everywhere I’ve been. it’s called a spirit. you even sing bind us together Lord with unbelievers and muslims (antichrist religion) yet it says do not mix the profane with the Holy. Christ and Belial have nothing in common. Go read the real Bible before you go around misinforming people based on your own ignorance as to the true nature of your “faith’. It’s got nothing to do with anti catholic feelings. OK it’s about them claiming to flow Christ yet the Bible indicates otherwise. don’t try to say it has been corrupted it’s a sin to criticise it. every in scripture is true. Read the words of Jesus in New Testament. stop lying. you are deceived. If you continue you will be given strong delusion. those who worship idols worship demons. Before you get upset understand your motives stop letting fear rule you leave get out time is running out. stop lying about the catholic church. Texts books are being changed to fit this garbage get your facts sraight. it’s so obvious all can see through it it’s oinly after power. True born again believers do not fight anyone in flesh, they do not kill hit punch ir shoot or bomb or blast any one. the catholic church murdered over 15 million people. That is NOT of Christ. Now it stands watching whilst other christians get blame for crusades wbich catholics freemasons did. and muslims started it. They massacred christians and jews and pagans. Catholicism is satan too just as islam is. just as Kenneth Copeland, Rick Warren etc is. They also go around accusing people of being accusers.

    • Calvin says:

Sister, you cannot approach God through Mary or any Saint. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that they are mediators between God and man. The Bible clearly says that it is Jesus and Jesus only who is our Mediator. The worship of Mary and/or the saints is pure occultism. God bless.

    • Philip says:

The “rock” Christ was speaking of was not Peter. It was the belief that Jesus is the Son of God and that he died for mans sins and rose from the dead. How much of a rock did Peter turn out to be? He denied he knew Jesus 3 times.

  25. People can do their own research as to the history of the Catholic church, who founded it and why, etc. There are two versions, the true version and the false version. “The Two Babylons” by Alexander Hislop is a classic work on the subject. There are articles on this site about the Roman Catholic church and Christian Denominations.

“If there is no other name by which men must be saved, and there is one body of Christ, then even denominations must be wrong and indeed the NT does say that: “For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?” (1 Corinthians 3:4)

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.” (1 Corinthians 10-17)

I’m not buying into animals and flowers being evil. Fantasy animals like unicorns and dragons I can understand. Remember after every day of creation God said “and it was good”. He didn’t say “it was good… except owls and tulips”.

      • That is correct. Although that was before the Fall of Man when everything changed:

More information has now been added to the article about how owls and tulips came to be considered as cursed.

I have Jesus art in my home. I don’t worship Jesus like that. I just like the paintings. Is this occultic?

    • They certainly could be. To what extent would mainly depend on the pictures. If a picture is Roman Catholic, the answer to that would be a definite yes. Some pictures of Jesus show Him with blonde hair and blue eyes and wearing a Roman toga, etc. and are not realistic. Some say it is not even Jesus, but Apollo or the Sun God, etc. That it is another Jesus, another spirit, another gospel. One of the Ten Commandments does forbid graven images.

The writer once bought and hung on the wall a Roman Catholic picture of Jesus, but was surprised to get a very bad vibe from it, so that it had to be disposed of. At that same time Margaret Tarrant pictures of Jesus seemed fine, but now the preference is to have no pictures of Him on the wall.

    • That would be if it is part of a positive thinking system, or positive mental attitude, which excludes the God of the Bible and Jesus and what the Bible says.

These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, pious self-denial, and severe bodily discipline. But they provide no help in conquering a person’s evil desires.” Colossians 2:20-23

I think some nursery rhymes and some childhood sayings should be on this list. Why? Because why teach a precious child these three things: Starlight, star bright, first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, have this wish I wish tonight. Instead teach the child to pray to our Father – not objects He forbids to worship. Another saying – Finders keepers, losers weepers. The Bible teaches to give the lost object to the owner, & if you don’t know the owner, keep it with you until they search for it. Another is after people sing Happy Birthday, the birthday person is supposed to make a wish and blow out all the candles. If all the candles are blown out, your wish will come true. Again, this is something I believe is not right. Yes, I was raised on all the above & upon thinking about it, it really isn’t biblical. I am sure there are more nursery rhymes, childhood sayings, & other customs we grew up with, but these are three I can think of at the moment.

Thank you for your comprehensive list of everything that is occult. Now I wonder if there is anyone on this planet earth (except you, of course) who is not connected in any way to any of what you have listed. If you are so perfect, what are you doing here on earth? You are supposed to be in heaven…..or you are already there, I don’t know. Looks like you picked up a dictionary in your spare time while you were getting bored and alphabetically picked out every noun you could find. So, there is no truth and no reality in what you have presented. Please study Daniel and Revelation properly and understand the characteristics of God’s remnant in the final days of this world’s history. Read Revelation 14:12 and you will realize that you will need to chuck out some of the items from your list.

    • Thank you for your opinion on this list, which is not only occult but also cursed objects – usually due to a connection with idolatry.

As the Bible tells us, the whole world lies in wickedness.

What would you like to suggest should be taken off this list?

      • Carmen lee says:

I am having a hard time with stuffed animals.

Got one shaped like a pear, a taco, a pusheen cat/dinosaur. More cats, a seal, bag of puddings look like little balls with cute faces. A tardigrade.

Point is, they are all cute, so cute. Not like some dolls are creepy and i have thrown all dolls in the trash!.

I will chuck these too if they are an issue. But are they? Really? Because i seem pretty cruel to my child even if i explain its evil. Some of this seems just hurtful for no reason.

So basically pillows with faces equal the devil.. yes or no?

I got to sell this to the kid. Jesus hates your toys… ?

No magic, no monsters. easy. Kid gets it. Idols. Understands. But toting around a pillow animal is really making God angry? I grow weary of this.

        • A stuffed cat or dinosaur would seem to be completely harmless. On the face of it, it would seem highly unlikely that they could cause problems in themselves. If there are problems with the demonic they are likely to have some other cause/s. It is not to do with cuteness though – they may be cute or not, they may be fine, or not. Various creatures and so forth that represent demons are often depicted as being really cute – for example, gremlins, elves, fairies, gnomes, etc. but of course in their essential nature they are anything but. Above all, the devil is a great deceiver, and a master of disguises, which he uses all the time.

    • This is likely to be due to lust demons which are very powerful.

      • E says:

Lust demons!? That’s the scariest thing I’ve heard.
But I still want help! Why, just this morning, instead of making my morning pot of coffee, I was hunched over the toilet whipping my snippet over the water to effectively drown my man goop.

What does God do to help us when we’ve gone a long period of time with no nut butter evacuation?

Do you masturbate? I was wondering, because your list doesn’t mention it. Maybe it’s good for us?

        • Definitely spiritually it is not good. It is in fact it opens demonic doorways which can be dangerous or even in some circumstances very dangerous. It’s best to stop asap. If you find that difficult, get some help, along the route of deliverance.

    • Michelle says:

You probably have a high sex drive and has nothing to do with “lust demons” or any demons.

    • Kay says:

E, have a look at the website, ‘your brain on porn’. There are many testimonials of men and women who were addicted to masturbation and have turned away from the habit. Masturbation is not a good practice. It’s not a Christian website, yet even the posters can see the negative effect masturbation has had on their lives and minds. After a few months of abstaining your life will change for the better.

    • Hi E,
I have heard several testimonies that inviting Jesus when you feel that very powerful urge will help and eventually free you of this compulsion. To be practical: when you feel the complusion, instead of focussing on what NOT to do with it, focus on calling out for Jesus at that very moment and inviting Him to take the strong urge. You are battling a spirit. Pray something like this (only let it come from your heart):

“Dear Jesus, I transfer all authority of myself, spirit, soul, and BODY over to you, the one and only true God. I invite you to come to me now and take this strong urge away! I renounce partnering with this spirit, as it is not from You, and instead submit myself to your cleansing work and blood. Show me now what you are doing for me. Is there anything more I need to renounce Jesus? Is there anyone I need to forgive connected to this? I am willing for You to show me what I can partner with You over instead. Thank you God for setting me free from this even now.”

Then listen and watch Your Salvation. I bless you in this fight!

  40. Michelle says:

You seriously have psychology on this list? Wwwhhyy, may I ask? You need to be very, very careful my friend that you are not twisting things and not leaning on your own understanding.

    • Modern psychology has a dark past, beginning with Freud who discovered that the main cause of ‘hysteria’ (as mental illness was called in those days) in women was in fact abuse from men in all its various forms. That is men, whether relatives or not, who were intent on manipulating them and raping them, sexually and financially abusing them and even gaslighting them. This was of course not only usually without regard for the children in their care, but also the children were also targets of all the various forms of abuse, and so extremely traumatising for the women. In fact pretty much as still goes on all over the world today.

It is said Freud was told by his associates in no uncertain terms that if he dared to bring this out into the public domain, he would be publicly disgraced and socially ostracised, so he kept his findings to himself.

The writer has considerable knowledge of psychology and how it so easily incorporates many elements of the New Age which are indeed very dangerous. Human beings, no matter how educated, or however well-intentioned, are not in full possession of the facts. We are fallible and there are so many things we cannot possibly know, and so we can only guess.

On the other hand, no one understands the human mind like its creator, and his Son Jesus Christ, “The Wonderful Counsellor”. And no one understands us individually, all we have been through, and our individual circumstances and how they combine together to cause suffering and problems, and the effect of others on all that, like God does.

Check out the testimony of Mike Smith of Hardcore Christianity who had a successful practice as a mental health professional before he became a Christian later in life and set up a deliverance centre. He claims in all the many years he worked in mental health he had been unable to cure a single patient, yet since he started his deliverance centre, he has been able to heal many people.

Lastly, the Bible itself is not silent on the top of mental illness and apart from deliverance, there are many scriptures that can help. In fact, the first Christian missionary was the Gerasene demoniac: Exorcism_of_the_Gerasene_Demoniac

      • Michelle says:

I realize that but that doesn’t mean psychology is occultic. Were there humans that were off base? Yes. Is the field riddled with lies and misconceptions? Yes. But occultic? No. Psychology is learning how one thinks to understand why they do what they do and you can learn how they think by observing their actions. By talking to them. THAT is psychology. I am becoming a licensed psychologist to help women in traumatic situations overcome it and help show them the love of Yahweh and Christ so that they can see their situation and choose life for their baby (if pregnant). When it comes to this, I know what I’m talking about and you taking this occult thing to an extreme. And by the way, I’d quit using wikipedia as a basis for your stance. It is not reliable because anyone can put anything in it. It is publicly edited.

      • Michelle says:

Anything can be corrupted. That’s why making sure on replies on Yahweh and Christ when counseling is important. You let the Holy Spirit lead. Going so far as to say psychology itself is occultic and evil is wrong. PEOPLE in it are and have been, but psychology itself is not.

      • Melanie says:

You’re actually so wrong that it’s kind of hard to take anything that you say seriously. First off, Wikipedia can be “edited” by anyone, regardless of education or experience with the topic that they are commenting on, making Wikipedia an inadequate source of reliable, scholarly information on any given subject. Second, modern-day psychology has roots dating back all the way to the ancient Greeks, but the man who is considered the “father” of modern-day psychology is a German physiologist named Wilhelm Wundt, who published the first book about psychology called “Principles of Physiological Psychology” in 1874. This book outlined the link between the science of physiology and the study of human thought and behavior. Sigmund Freud’s first “hysterical” patient wasn’t even seen by Freud until he opened his private practice in Vienna in 1886, over 12 years AFTER Wundt published his book about psychology. Then Freud coined the term “psychoanalysis” in 1896 to describe the process in which modern-day talk therapy is based on, which is a whole 22 years after Wundt published his book about psychology. Third, the term “hysteria” was only limited to women until the beginning of the 20th century, when Freud himself discovered that it could occur in either sex. Also, “hysteria” was NOT what mental illness was called “in those days” and it had NOTHING to do with hysterical women not providing good enough childcare to their children and so their children were traumatized. Basically, “hysteria” was thought to be due to the repression of traumatic memories of sexual abuse that occurred in infancy or childhood, that were then triggered when the patient would have permissible sexual encounters as a young adult, causing them to recall the sexual trauma that they endured as an infant or young child. And lastly, the term “gaslighting” wasn’t used in the field of psychology until the 1960’s, which a simple calculation will show you is at least 21 years AFTER Sigmund Freud died.

Oh and literally ANY mental healthcare professional knows that mental illness is NOT something that ANYONE can “cure”. It’s a lifelong affliction that can only be MANAGED through the use of different types of psychiatric medications, different types of talk-therapy and other various treatments. So the Mike Smith that you are referencing as “healing” people with mental illness, is a lying scam artist who preys on those who are easily influenced by using religion as a means to brainwash people into believing that he has the power to “heal” or “cure” mental illness. Also, as I am currently getting my doctoral degree in counseling psychology and I already have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in psychology, I can confidently guarantee you that Mike Smith has little to no professional background in the field of psychology and he should be seen as a criminal who gives those suffering from mental illness false hope in believing that he can “cure” them. He is using people’s desperation for a cure for their mental illness against them. He is a con artist.

Do you want to know who the real demonic entity is? Look no further than people like Mike Smith. You really need to “see the truth in reality” and see people like him for the type of monster that they really are. They are who are truly evil and who actually personifies all of the traits of a real demon.

    • Philip says:

I wouldn’t trust psychology or psychiatry. They are like any other medical field. They will sell out their patients for a nickel. There’s no money in curing you. Look at transgenderism. Instead of telling trannies straight up they have a mental illness they sell them on sex change operations and hormone therapy.

      • Jenny Foster says:

Exactly. That’s why Jesus said he was The Good Shepherd and all others are hirelings and they will flee when the wolf comes – which is another way of saying fairweather friends who are only there for the money.

Also pyschotherapists and all counsellers, even and perhaps especially Christians, make mistakes all the time and can be somehow intentionally or unintentionally abusive – because they are human – and that can have painful results. There’s no doubt good counselling can be helpful but don’t expect perfection or that it will solve all your problems because that is not what happens in the real world.

Hi, I first came across this page through Derek Prince. I need to ask you, can you give some light why is “fleur de lys” a cursed symbol, it is so popular in western Europe. I noticed that it is on a champagne bottle I have.
And a question I just was made cautious of today, what do you do with symbols you have on official documents? For example the 12 pentagrams of the EU flag, which one can find on driver licenses?

    • The fleur-de-lys is one of the most widely used occultic symbols, it has been called the flower of the devil. There are some videos about it on Youtube, and more information can be found via Google.

Occult symbols are everywhere, governments as well as companies use them widely. (Starbucks) coffee, most car logos are occultic. Nike is the name of a pagan goddess, and 666 is on Monster drinks, and so on and so forth, so not really avoidable. As long as we don’t make them objects of idolatry. Eg. drink the coffee, get rid of the pack and throw out the mug. Some people though do prefer not to buy anything with a blatant occult symbol on it at all and that’s a matter of personal choice.

I look forward to hear your message sir and God bless you and thank you for reading this question and have a good day!

    • One way or the other, like films and pop and rock music, sadly many games are likely to contain some form of cursed objects (intentionally) providing demonic doorways, but as you say there will be some such as violent games which are likely to be far worse than others.

    • Some video games can be ok but even these can carry supraliminal and subliminal messages, and hidden occult symbols are in most things these days.

To be safe, there are Christian and Bible games available, such as those included in the lists of links at the foot of this site, in the right hand column under “Christian Resources” and “Bible Resources”.

    • Martin says:

Wait why is there Hippocratic oath here? I know it’s Greek but it helps us making sure that doctors promise to help patients until they get well or die. Thank you for reading my questions I look forward on replying my questions.

      • This pledge from the Hippocratic oath — written nearly 2500 years ago – forms part of the most famous text in Western medicine. An oath historically taken by physicians, it requires readers to swear by the healing gods that they will uphold specific medical standards.

“I swear by Apollo the Healer, by Asclepius, by Hygieia, by Panacea, and by all the gods and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that I will carry out, according to my ability and judgment, this oath and this indenture.”

Although the Hippocratic Oath may have been reworded in recent times, its roots remain the same and the Bible is clear that, apart from souls – people and animals – whatever has been dedicated to false gods (and Apollo is actually Apollyon mentioned in the Bible) cannot be cleansed or rededicated or repurposed or anything like that.

Can bible be cursed . if yes so what we have to do with the cursed bible if it is present in home should we throw it or buried it or fire it . Can you please tell me the answer it is very important

    • Yes, a Bible can definintely be cursed. That could be to do with its origins. Especially if it is Roman Catholic. If you have a strong feeling that it is, don’t take chances, as it is playing with fire. Get rid of it and get a KJV Bible that you know for sure won’t be cursed.

      • Alexa says:

Hello Good day! (Sorry I post another one) May I ask why all Sci Fi are curse. To me not all of them are curse because I believe that some sci Fi can turn inventions into reality and some of sci Fi that turn into reality can make our lives easier and not only that but also can make our lives awesome. Our imaginations turn our wildest inventions into reality. I just ask because I am just curious as to why sci Fi is curse.

Thank you for reading my question I look forward on reading your responce.

    • The answer will be about degree. It depends to what extent the sci-film – film or book for example – is opening people’s mind to good and evil and in what way. There is a theory that makes sense which is that the little grey men are in fact demons and UFOs are a demonic manifestation. Although it is possible perhaps there are also some sorts of angelic spacecraft, we really don’t know. We can’t really know for sure the answer to these questions.

Opening demonic doorways though is so dangerous that it is best to avoid as far as possible. Certainly, it is known that many who have dabbled in ufology, etc. have become unbalanced or even mentally and physically ill as a result, so we know there is a considerable element of danger there.

For example, it wouldn’t be a good idea, to have a sci-fi library in your home. On the other hand. watching a sci-film may not be harmful. Although of course the potential is there that it could be depending on the film itself and when and where it is watched by which person.

The Enemy will mimic God and the light that is sometimes connected with extra-terrestrials and UFOs, etc. is undoubtedly is the Enemy’s version of the light of God and His angels. To the extent that – whatever sci-fi it is – it mimics God, or denies our Creator, it is indeed cursed. On the other hand, a ‘good’ sci-film could open people’s mind to the presence and understanding of good and evil in the world, and help to lead them to finding the God of the Bible.

As with so much in this world, approach with caution.

Thank you for reading message I look forward on hearing your responce.

    • It would be up to you to make an informed decision bearing in mind individual circumstances.

The only two times birthdays are mentioned in the Bible were for a Pharoah and Herod, and both times somebody was executed. From that we would not be too far out to gather that it is a pagan practice.

It is certainly not one of the worst pagan practices by a very long way, and only you can decide whether you want to proceed on the basis of the individual occasion, such as, for example, with a child or a sick or elderly person.

  55. Anne Jensen says:

    This list is ridiculous.

    • In your opinion, that is. Do you believe in the Bible? If you do, please check the Bible references provided in the article and you will see that there is scriptural precedent for all of it. Such as the story of Rebecca having idols in her tent.

The list of Occult and Cursed Objects is long because without realising it, we are steeped in the occult and in idolatry.

Idolatry is something that God hates and so in a way we become aligned with the demonic when we engage in something idolatrous, and that may be simply having something idolatrous in our house, such as a man having pornography in his home. It is of course a matter of degree as to how these different things can affect us and that can vary massively depending on what it actually is, where it came from, why we have it, how we value it, etc.

      • Dd94L says:

This list can be your opinion as well. Your list doesn’t even have the false apostle paul whom gets more reverence than the savior himself. In all honesty this list is meaningless because everything that has existed and even created by the Most High can be placed under such list which would wind up being too large and nearly endless compared to yours. Food, eating, family, children, water, air, speech, sex, relationships, spirits, physical matter, dirt, the concept of emotion, freewill and choice! All creations of the Most High and yet is also considered satanic because that bastard takes anything that exist and claims ownership or association of such for himself.

Hi good day I have a question, So the star of David is occultic and curse because of magic (I haven’t really fully read the history of Star of David) and this symbol is used by Israel on their flag. So here’s the question what is the best and most appropriate symbol flag for Israel if Star of David is curse? so could it be “Hanukkah” or something else if you know. Thank you for reading my question I look forward on hearing your responce.

    • It is somewhat surprising that he words “Star of David” do not appear in the Bible. There are several mentions of the “star of Remphan” as that was an idol and a heathen mark of a star does appear on antiquities of the time.

Both pentagrams and hexagrams have strong occultic connections and are widely used in witchcraft. You may have seen in a film how it is said that people can chalk one on the floor to summon a demon.

As to what was the original symbol of Israel, it could have been a menorah and possibly before even that it could have been a burning bush. We have not had time to research this now but there are some articles about this on Youtube or elsewhere.

  57. Martin says:

Hello good day! I have 2 questions. One, it’s about Dr. Who (I haven’t fully watch this tv series) and may I ask as to why this tv series is curse. I haven’t really fully know this person but what I heard about this is about time travel and I personally love time travel where I can travel time to see past places such as the Noah’s ark and etc and also it would be cool to go to the place of garden of Eden (imagine where people who went to this place and manage to kill the serpent who deceives them and preventing sin entering into this world and where we can live eternal life, (I know the story of disobedience of Adam of Eve but it would be cool if anyone could kill this serpent and I don’t wanna offend God or any Christians here and you sir/maam)).

And 2nd question it’s about this dragon (I am fully aware that this dragon is Satan himself and a breathing fire dragon.) But may I ask is it all kinds of dragon or some kinds of dragons. The reason I ask this, is because there is this cartoon and movie called How to train your dragon movies and tv series and there is this dragon named “toothless” I find him cute and majority of he dragons are mixture of dogs, cats and owl (I found this somewhere and I forgot where did I get this, I think it’s in YouTube.) and in your own opinion (Yes or No) is this cartoon and movies of “How to train your dragons” a curse or not? I’m just asking because majority of dragons are cute and not breathing fire dragons.

Thank you for reading my message I look forward on hearing your responce.

    • Your questions are perfectly valid. The fact is by becoming involved in any way with the supernatural, we open ourselves up to deception and give legal licence rights for the demonic to influence other aspects of our life, however subtly.

First they attract you, then they influence you, then they slowly get control over you. What they are really after is possessing your mind, and then your soul. Time travel is just one of a myriad of deceptions offered like a poisoned chalice, to get people to fall under a type of spell. As is the case with many so-called UFO abductions.

The Bible tells us the way to defeat the devil and all his wiles via spiritual warfare using the armour of God as per Ephesians 6 and “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (2 Cor 10:5)

The original dragon was the talking and walking serpent with legs in the Garden of Eden. He seduced the first humans by saying if they would worship him he could give them power through knowledge and information and they could become like gods and live forever. The same lie is perpetuated today, in repackaged formats, transmitted over the media and made to look attractive and desirable.

In the Bible, we can follow through from the Garden of Eden: “Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” (Genesis 3:1) to Rev 12 where there is a war with the angels and the red dragon is identified as the devil himself.

Although dragons do not exist in the physical, there is no doubt they manifest in the supernatural. There is a lot of deception going on where demons are portrayed as nice friendly creatures in various guises. The truth is if you had an actual real encounter with one of these beings as they really are, you would definitely not wish to repeat the experience.

In folklore, in some countries dragons have a friendly aspect, but in many Christian-type cultures dragons are classed as evil, or the manifestation of the devil himself. There are numerous fairy tales, myths and legends, etc. where dragons are greedy hoarders and keepers of treasures, and they terrorize the locality demanding to have beautiful young virgins sacrificed to them. Yet in the East, which is mostly non-Christian, dragons are presented in a beneficent light, in particular countries like Persia, India and China. Some cultures even worship a feathered serpent god.

There are certain powers working overtime to present the demonic realm in various guises as something friendly and beneficial to mankind. Whereas the truth is in reality they hate and want to destroy mankind, who they blame for their fall from heaven and their predicament because they know they can never be redeemed.

The devil being the imitator and hater of God, is deceiving people and leading them away to believe that it’s not God who is our friend and protector but demons in all sorts of disguises. Those representations include creatures that don’t exist in actuality, fantastic creatures, such as goblins or gnomes, elves, fairies and the like, or dragons or unicorns or other mythical beasts. One reason it’s dangerous to watch or dabble in these kinds of things is because someone can so easily be subtly seduced into believing that these creatures are good when they are far from it and are in fact highly dangerous.

What is really going on in the world today is a fulfilment of Bible prophecy. The most important thing we can do is learn to apply from the Bible what is really happening and we what need to know for ourselves and others to get through these Last Days.

It’s an attractive idea to be able to train a dragon but in actuality the ‘dragon’ (a demon in the form of a familiar spirit) is the one that would be doing the training.

Moreover, dragons, even if they did exist, and even if there were such a thing as a friendly variety, would not be able to save us, but God can.

Oh my, Thank you so much guys!

      • Sage says:

Wow! I just want to thank you first of all for putting this list together. I wrote a prayer confessing each item on this list as sin, rejecting it, renouncing it, and repenting of it, for my iniquity and that of my ancestors.. I tried to pray it many, many times in the last 2-3 weeks but demons of distraction made sure I could never finish. Last night, during my midnight vigil, I prayed for God to help me to finally do it. I did from the top of the list to the bottom. I had so many demonic manifestations that I was asking Jesus to help me breathe. I was utterly exhausted from all that and now I feel so light! Thank You, Jesus! Some of those things sound so very nice it is hard to imagine they are occultic. I was beyond shocked when I looked up coueism! I learned to chant at Tony Robbin’s webinars before I surrendered to Jesus and learned that a lot of things taught there are rooted in New Age Mambo Jambo. I used to be addicted to self-help books and God literally had me throw out almost 400 self-help books. When you read the Bible you realize it DOES NOT mix with psychology/psychotherapy which is a mix of human logic, crazy/ungodly science, and occultic knowledge. Later when I learned about automatic writing, I now believe lots of those bestsellers were probably channeled from ascending masters. That is why I truly appreciate this list. Thanks a million!

I also used to be a therapeutic massage therapist with my own clinic, trying to stay away from the new age music by playing Christian instrumental, etc. Now I loved my craft so much! But right when my practice was starting to thrive, I sensed a check in my spirit. I quickly told God that if he was NOT in it, to turn my heart away from it. He did it instantly! I was shocked at the speed with which He responded. Right there my practice started to die a slow death. God then got me off it and has provided for me SUPERNATURALLY since then. If you abandon anything for Jesus’ sake, He truly will have your back! That is my testimony.

I renounced and repented of everything on the list, even those that I don’t know anything about. I realize now how daily life is layered with all kinds of occultism especially if you are a little child in America! (I have dual citizenship, Kenyan and American) and I got way more compromised in America, wow! In Africa, the things that compromise you are more obvious and a Christian can steer clear easily. There is a clearer distinction between the holy and the profane. In America, the enemy’s snares are ingrained in everyday language, workplace, home, school, everywhere, and it’s much, much harder to realize that you are in bed with Satan!!! If it wasn’t for God being so long-suffering, not one person would make it.

Secondly, I want to thank you for your patience and humility in answering the questions in the comments, especially how you patiently answered Martin’s questions and how you responded to people who ridiculed you. That usually comes from people who have never read the Old Testament carefully or they would know what idolatry is and how God is angry, angry, and really angry about adultery. He hates it with a perfect hatred. But since just about every Christian I have ever met never reads the Old Testament, they know not God.

God bless you richly as you help open people’s eyes. This website is truly a blessing to the body of Christ. “Hold that fast which thou has, that no man take thy crown.” Revelation 3:11. Shalom

  59. Martin says:

Good day! I have a question, it’s about this logos I know that many logos are curse and can give satanic doorway. So here’s the question. Do you think that there are some logos that you cannot avoid or remove but rather just to ignore when going to the app and app’s logo contains satanic/occultic. Example is the google play (I like to ask what kind of phone version are you using, are you using apple or android.) The reason I ask this is because that the logo of google play is a hidden symbol of “sign of lucifer” I forgot where did I read this, but one thing for sure is that i’m using a samsung phone and the google play store’s logo I am seeing is the “sign of Lucifer”. So here’s the question what should I do when there are other logos or signs that cannot be avoidable, change or removed, Just like the google play store.

Thank you for reading my message I look forward on hearing your responce.

    • In these dark times, cursed objects and logos are all around us and we can’t be held responsible for much of that as we have no say in it. However, there is a degree to which it is up to you whether you want to have it around. Unless of course it is a 666 or upside-down cross or something of that extreme nature. Some are not so bad but some such as the Greek keys (some of which spell ISIS), paisley (eye of Horus) and fleur-de-lys are best avoided. If it’s on the food we buy, or on our cars or computer equipment, etc. we can cover them up if that makes us feel better. Personally, we buy Starbucks coffee and don’t cover up the logo for storage but once it is opened for use we put it in another container. If it’s a car, a logo or emblem could also be covered in some way. That’s not always possible, but certainly nothing to worry about. No need for it to prevent one using a preferred app, or anything else. Hope this helps.

  60. Martin says:

Hi good day! I have a question, it’s about syncretism and New world religion. I know that the syncretism and the New world religion is evil, but here’s the question. The syncretism and the New world religion is only purely acceptable, best and most importantly appropriate in combining some religions would be some Christian religions and (I don’t know if there are any kinds of Jewish religions) some Jewish religions. Because I believe that Jew and Christian worship the same God and I know that we may have different culture such as on how we eat, and etc but I do believe we have the same bible like Torah.

I don’t know if this teaching is from new age teaching (I learned this teaching when I was a Junior High School student Grade 10 here in the Philippines) “There’s no such thing as true religions, we all follow the same mountain.” I know new age it super curse and evil, but do you accept this new age teaching? Because Christians and Jewish follow the same mountain.

Thank you for reading my message I look forward on hearing your responce.

    • The Bible teaches us that we must worship the Father in spirit and in truth because God is seeking such people to have a relationship with him.

We have been repeatedly warned of a great deception in the Endtimes, when Jesus said that many will come in His name and mislead many.

People believe that there are many roads to God and despite all the various religions – of which the “New Age” is a reformatted version – that all these people believe in the same God.

This is not the case because central to Christianity is the belief in one Creator God who is the God of the Bible, and there is one way to Him which is through His Son.

Truth by its nature is in a way singular and narrow, there is no room for compromise, dilution, additions or subtractions.

If you haven’t already seen this video, it’s worth watching: The Replacement Gods – Super-Heroes

    • Sage says:

Martin, Jews believe the Old Testament but not the New Testament because they do not accept Jesus as their Messiah but reject him. A Jewish lady once told me that they hate how Christians say, “Old Testament and New Testament.” because to them, it is the Hebrew Bible and the Christian Bible. They are still waiting for a messiah. Jesus told the Jews who rejected Him as Messiah that they are of their father the devil.

“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44

As you can see, as followers of Jesus Christ, we and Jews DO NOT worship the same God because we, Christians, believe that the only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ but they don’t believe in Jesus at all. For this, Jesus promised them that unless they believe in Him, they will die in their sins (John 8:24) – and we know everyone who dies in their sins goes to hell, not purgatory because purgatory is a false teaching that is NOT in the Bible. However, Jews and Christians both share the same Old Testament. Jews also strongly believe in the Talmud and the Zohar, two books that were written by Rabbis who deny that Jesus Christ is the Messiah. Once other books are introduced other than the Bible, human beings plunge straight into error, every single time!

      >> All other religions are the wrong religion. Their gods are demon gods.
      >> If they don’t believe in Jesus Christ alone as the way to salvation, they are worshiping a god other than the God of the Bible.
      >> They are called a bloodless religion if they believe in salvation without the blood that was shed by Jesus Christ for the remission of sin.
      >> If they say they believe in Jesus Christ but they also worship idols like Catholics, they are in error and they believe in “another Jesus” not the one of the Bible.
      >> If they believe in Jesus but they also believe in some other person, they are unbiblical. Examples of errors are Seventh Day Adventists who believe in Ellen G. White who is a proven false prophetess. The Mormons are also in error for they believe in Joseph Smith who is like another Jesus to them.

      >> Your teacher said we all follow the same mountain? I don’t know what that means. I am a Christian. I have read the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation several times. There is no scripture that tells us to follow a mountain. So do not follow that advice. Throw it away today.

      >> My advice to you is that you find a Bible and start reading it every single day praying to ask God to teach you and reveal to you what you are reading. DO NOT read the Catholic Bible if it has removed the verse that forbids bowing down to idols – I have heard that some Catholic versions don’t have it.

      >>Here is the verse that forbids bowing in worship to Mary and the saints:
“You are not to craft for yourselves an idol or anything resembling what is in the skies above, or on earth beneath, or in the water sources under the earth. 5 You are not to bow down to them in worship or serve them, because I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the guilt of parents[a] on children, to the third and fourth generation[b] of those who hate me, 6 but showing gracious love to the thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.” Exodus 20:4-6

According to these verses, we have Jesus and the pope is not necessary unless someone wants to replace Jesus with the pope:

Here it says only ONE mediator between God and men = Christ Jesus not pope
      >> “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” 1 Timothy 2:5

      >> “And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,” Ephesians 1:22

      >> “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.” Hebrews 4:14

  65. haili808 says:

What about a home full of nutcrackers? This home also had nice statues of people and animals. I need to know, as I recently visited a home that felt wrong and was cursed. Could it have been the house that was evil or the statues and things in it? Or even possibly the people, or all of the above?

    • Yes, indeed it could be any combination or all of the above. Certainly. the nature of the world as it is now is such that a collection of most things is very likely to contain some cursed figures or symbols.

For example, via fleur-de-lys symbols, Greek code patterns, or celtic cross, code, spirals, key or step patterns – but there are many, more.

A collection of nutcrackers would almost definitely be likely to contain some that would be cursed. The same with statues of people – origins are crucial – who are the people and how are they depicted, what are they wearing or carrying or standing on, and what did they do in their life and where did the statues come from, etc.? In particular, do any of them depict some false deity, Greek, Roman or otherwise, or are somehow otherwise dedicated or connected to same?

There are some animal images or figures in particular which are cursed objects, such as figures of snakes, frogs, lizards, and in particular – something which is very popular these days in stylised versions – owls. Figures of owls are commonly used in Satanism and witchcraft – check out ‘owl of Athena’. Also fantasy animals such as dragons, phoenix, unicorns, griffin, (aka griffon, or gryphon), etc.

It is all a matter of degree and the extent of any curse is also dependent upon the extent to which the objects or symbols are venerated, or not. The potential exists for the extent of the curse to be amplified by some form of veneration of the object whether by the original maker, or the current owner or perhaps even the original owner. So the question is how idolatrous it individually is, and its potential for providing a doorway for demon infestation. The demonic wants to get a toehold so then it can work to get a foothold, a stronghold, and then a stranglehold.

      • Philip says:

I just thought of something. Solomon built a temple FULL of statues of animals and plants. The Lord didn’t have a problem with it back then. I have a feeling this all goes back to worshipping these items. You can have a statue of an owl but you can’t worship it or put its importance above the Lord.

        • Are you saying Solomon filled the temple with real animals and plants, or images and statues of animals and plants? Solomon is perhaps not such a good example as Solomon did quite a few things that God had told him not to do and did get himself in considerable trouble because of it.

It is though certainly true to say that it is definitely our attitude to these things that is important, although by no means all-important, as the curses are often but not always due to idolatry, that is putting things, beliefs or whatever, or people, before God.

  66. Andrea says:

I offer words of truth and encouragement to all those seeking.

The Father & Son are ONE – see John 10:30 (the “trinity” deception traces all the way back to Nimrod and can be seen in all religions…religions are not Truth.) Yahuah established His Name and His Son’s Name, Yahusha, in the original Hebrew which was the first language until the Tower of Babel event – Exodus 3:15…Thus you are to say to the children of Yisra’el, “Yahuah Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Isaac, has sent me to you. This is My Name FOREVER, and this is My remembrance to ALL GENERATIONS. & Acts 4:10-12…that in the Name of Yahusha ha’Mashiah of Nazareth….This is ‘the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ And there is no deliverance in anyone else, for there is no other Name under the heavens give among men by which we need to be saved.’
“God” comes from a pagan Scandinavian origin. “Jesus” has no meaning in Hebrew, but does mean “hail Zeus” with its “-sus” ending like many other Greek words. (The letter “J” didn’t even come into language until the 1500s.) All holidays celebrated by Christians are pagan, as these “holy-days” were practiced by pagans long before the Son came in the flesh. Constantine created Christianity and adapted these pagan holidays into Christianity in the First Council of Nicaea. Christianity also changed the 7th day Sabbath that was set apart for all peoples by Yahuah to the 1st day of the week (Sunday is worship of the Sun, as Constantine, Catholics, and now all Christianity worships on this day.) Look at our society’s Gregorian calendar and you will see that Sunday is the first day of the week. Truth is a Person and that Person IS the Word – anything that does not line up with Him is a lie, for He IS the Torah! Through Him, we are restored into the renewed covenant, of which He is Melchizedek High Priest forever, Hebrews 7:17. His Story is in the Appointed Times set by Yahuah – He is the Passover, He is the wave sheaf offering, He is the First Fruits, He came to dwell among us and was born during the Feast of Tabernacles in the 7th month, etc. Everyone knows that December 25th is not the Messiah’s birthday but yet they celebrate it anyway. Christmas is really celebrating sun worship, the birth of Nimrod, and focuses on Trinity worship tracing back to Nimrod. The Christmas tree represents a phallus and the wreath a female’s genitalia.

Jeremiah (YirmeYAHu – see, His Name is seen in Jeremiah’s real name here) 10:3-4 – “For the prescribed customs of these peoples are worthless, for one cuts a tree from the forest, work for the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool. They adorn it with silver and gold, they fasten it with nails and hammers so that it does not topple.

Jeremiah (YirmeYAHU) 16:19-20 – O Yahuah, my strength and my stronghold and my refuge, in the day of distress (this means the Day of Yahuah/Judgment Day, which is shown to us in the Day of Atonement) the gentiles shall come to You from the ends of the earth and say, “Our fathers have inherited only falsehood, futility, and there is no value in them.”….16:21 Therefore see, I am causing the to know, this time I cause them to know My hand and My might. And they shall know that My Name is Yahuah!

Ezekiel 14:6 – “Therefore say to the house of Yisra’el (Yisra’el means “overcoming with El, a title for the Father” this applies to those who are grafted in as well as to the 12 tribes), “Thus said the Adon Yahuah, “REPENT, and TURN back your faces from all your abominations.”

Trust no man and no church (“church” really means circus!) institution’s spin.
2 Timothy 2:15 – Do your utmost to present yourself approved to Yahuah Elohim, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the Word of Truth. (Rightly handling = Book of the Covenant Gen. 1:1 – Exo. 24:11, which Yahusha’s blood restores us into, versus Book of the Law which put in place the Levitical Priesthood until Yahusha came in the flesh.)

Philippians 2:12 – ….continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling

Be blessed, encouraged, and restored! 🙂

Are ALL candles bad? I have a Yankee Candle in every room just for the scent.

Is there anything in this world that’s ok to have in the home simply for decor? I do like Star Wars and have collectibles in my home but I do not worship them. If a thief came in my home and stole all of them, I’d be annoyed at the money I lost. I wouldn’t replace them since it would be too expensive.

    • No, it’s not wrong to use a candle but one should be aware that there is something called ‘candle magic’ which can be used by the demonic as a doorway. This is when we give some special significance to a candle or candles beyond it being just a type of light or representative of a light, as is often done even by Christians.

I will pray for your soul because what you are saying about the Catholic church, crosses, religous pictures and statues etc., you are 100% wrong. You are preaching heresy and doing the devil’s work. You are not understanding the Bible and especially when referencing the Old Testament, you are not following the teaching of Jesus Christ. The Catholic Church originates from the time of Christ. St. Peter is the first Pope of the Catholic Church. We as Catholics don’t worship Mary or the Saints, we pray to them for them to intercede for us to Jesus, the Father and Holy Spirit. Bottom liine, what you are telling people to do by removing & burning blessed religious items of the Catholic church, you are doing exactly what Satan wants. He is using you as his instrument against God. May God have mercy on your soul for spreading false teaching! 🙏🙏🙏

  69. Martin Jason says:

Hi there good day! I have a question, it’s about video games that has full of vampires, werewolves, zombies and monster. I am fully aware these are curse and I know that these are permanent evil to God. Here’s the question, is it alright for a video game to have these and a player who brutally kills these evil monsters and bosses using regular weapons, like pistols, shotguns, assault rifles and etc. For example is RE Village the player is Ethan Hunt and he uses many weapons like Shotgun, Pistols, and etc to kill them, whatever the reason why Ethan goes to that place, i’m happy that they allow the player to use weapons to kill them.

As for the Zombies, is it ok to have it in a video game where zombies take over many cities and the military failed to contain this threat and got evacuated to other islands and many survivors will scavenge supplies, rebuild their HQ, Build their resource and etc. I know they are cannibalist but with the right weapon the player is using then they will have no problems killing them

    • Hmm doesn’t sound too good. Games like that would definitely be likely to constitute demonic doorways. Depending on other factors, these could be minor or major. That is if any demonic portal is ever minor as the demonic is so expert at getting a toehold, a foothold, a stronghold and eventually a stranglehold.

Yes, they are only games and it does sound like fun in a way. The attraction is clear but then so are the dangers.

According to scripture, we are not supposed to enjoy violence, and that would probably refer also to games.

“The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.” (Psalm 11:5)

There are quite a few TV programs about good fighting evil, vampire slayers and such, but they do seem to blur the borders between what is good and what is evil which is not in our best interests.

Some young or impressionable people could be desensitised by such programmes and games to the true horror of violence. Some could attracted by the glamour and feeling part of an in-crowd to something that is totally unrealistic. Then perhaps as borders are blurred even become confused about what is reality and what is fantasy.

So all things considered, many believe such games are indeed dangerous and it would be far better to give these types of games – and TV programmes, films, etc. – a miss.

      • Martin Jason says:

Ok! TYSM! BTW please add the list BDSM, I know its evil and I love this evil because I love being in a bondage like being tied up by ropes, handcuff and etc. Though its only in my mind. This list has errors. Unicorns are in the Bible(see Psalm 92, Job) and are not a symbol of the Anti Christ. In fact, they symbolize Christ if you look For more information. The Fleur deal Lis is just a tulip God created. It also symbolizes the Trinity. Teddy bears were made to honor Teddy Roosevelt for not shooting a bear. Owls were created by God himself. To say tribal is occult is like saying Americans are better than Africans. Yes idols and charms should be rid of, but clothes?! Cult leaders tend to say they are superior to Jesus and that they are the only right one. Ellen White says she is inferior to Jesus and that God have many people in other denominations. She asks readers not to read her books more. Note those people you call cults think of themselves as a denomination, and might be on this website. . This list says that there is only one right denomination and the rest are all cults. That is not a debate anyone wants to get into. I have watched Care Bears before and never seen anything “humanistic”. All I saw was sweet little bears trying to be Christlike. Mythical animals are also in the Bible. Behemoth, Leviathan, lamb with seven eyes… These are all mythical, but not occult. Pray over all your objects, casting demons out of anything. Sorry, but I don’t follow this logic. It is just that the devil can take what God made to be good and ruin it.

    • This list is not set in stone but presented so that people can make their own decisions about what they choose to do and to what degree. Thenpeople can make an informed choice as opposed to being in the dark about these things.

Unicorn: The word “unicorn” appears in the King James Version nine times – in Numbers 23:22 and 24:8, Deuteronomy 33:17, Job 39:9,10, Psalms 22:21, 29:6 and 92:10 and in Isaiah 34:7. “Some people claim the Bible is a book of fairy tales because it mentions unicorns”, writes Bible scholar Dr. Elizabeth Mitchel. “However, the biblical unicorn was a real animal, not an imaginary creature. The Bible refers to the unicorn in the context of familiar animals, such as peacocks, lambs, lions, bullocks, goats, donkeys, horses, dogs, eagles, and calves.”

[Beliefnet] What kind of animal was the unicorn? In Job 38-41, God reminded Job of the characteristics of a variety of impressive animals He had created, showing Job that God was far above man in power and strength. God points out in Job 39:9–12 that the unicorn, ‘whose strength is great,’ is useless for agricultural work, refusing to serve man or “harrow (plow) the valley. That might explain why some translators believe that the Hebrew word “re’em” actually was describing a rhinoceros — an incredibly moody and unpredictable animal that, unlike buffaloes, elephants or horses, defied any domestication.

Fleur-de-Lys: There is an excellent video on Youtube made by someone who found it difficult to believe the fleur-de-lys was cursed so researched to find out why and he found it so interesting, he ended up making an hour-long documentary about it: The Curse Behind The Fleur-De-Lis

Owls: God created everything. With owls, as with other animals such as frogs and snakes, etc. which are connected with curses, it is generally believed that it is not the animals themselves that are cursed – even though the Bible says owls live in unclean places – but representations of that animal, or bird. Owls are in part cursed due to their close association with Minerva – the Roman equivalent of the Greek Athena – the so-called goddess of wisdom. A google search will show that owl symbolism is closely associated with witchcraft, Satanism, and the Illuminati.

“To say tribal is occult is like saying Americans are better than Africans”: No, it is saying whether American Indian, African or Catholic (whatever the colour of anyone’s skin) – the belief in and use of spells and objects in witchcraft (the definition of witchcraft here being to change / control perceived reality) is cursed. The Bible is clear that God hates witchcraft, wizardry and the like. It doesn’t specify which types (white or black) so it can be safely assumed to mean all forms of witchcraft. There is even such a thing as Christian witchcraft. Catholic items are not generally not so bad as African or American Indian because they are indirectly connected to Jesus rather than totally disconnected and dedicated to serving other (including demonic) gods. Nevertheless any of them can be as bad or worse depending on the individual situation. That is because use of or reliance on them implies that the blood of Jesus is somehow insufficient and thereby denying His power which then in turn opens demonic portals.

Care Bears: “Sweet little bears trying to be Christ-like?” Is that as in antichrist? That may be some people’s view of Christ, that he’s like a sweet little Care Bear, but it’s not everyone’s. Jesus is after all King of Kings and Lord of Lords. While Care Bears are of course among the better of children’s toys, and seem harmless enough, there is no harm in being aware of the dangers in the philosophy put forward there, such as misleading people, especially children, that such creatures exist. Surely it would be better to teach them about God and His Son and God’s angels (not the mythical female fairy-type angels) which do exist and do watch over us. The problem with this, as with so many of these things is that they almost always leave out God and so become a form of antichrist, one of the main definitions of which is “in place of Christ”.

Mythical creatures: There are mythical creatures in the Bible which describes fantastic angels which are part-animal around the very throne of God. That doesn’t mean that all the fantastic animals and monsters that we have invented are fine though. They are woven into stories and mythologies that mislead people and often involve ‘gods’ and ‘goddesses’. There are inherent dangers in believing in or somehow giving reference to – and also powers to – mythical and magical creatures that may not – and in many cases do not – actually exist but in many cases are actually representative of the demonic and/or used by demons.

What about all the wonderful creatures around us that God created which he gave us to take care of but are so often abused and neglected? Fantastic creatures and their wonderful magical powers inserted into fantastic stories and mythologies may seem attractive but they are fantasies which can be ultimately harmful, providing demonic portals, and are best avoided.

  76. There is of course nothing wrong with using herbs and plants to heal ourselves – that’s in the Bible. It is the philosophy that so often comes with them.

Chiropractice however in particular absolutely can be dangerous. You need to look into it to understand why.

  77. Idk says:

Well if the unicorn was inspired by a Re’em, I don’t see how it can be evil. They are not evil itself, while the Hebrews linked it towards the power of God, and Christians linked it towards a symbol of Jesus, Satan took what God made for good and pagans used in magic and idolatry, which God hates. There are tribal customs which are not occult like bowing down in respect, feeding an elder, taking off your shoes. Please be careful at saying this statement, this can cause racism and tribalism. Care bears only emphasize love, kindness and all the fruits of the Spirit, not humanism or idolatry. Sorry, but I don’t think it should be on this list. Psychology and psychics are two different things. Just because psychology was made by a man named Freud doesn’t mean it is harmful. That is like saying that doctors and medicine are harmful because it started with Imhotep, a Egyptian doctor. We do not want to see demons in everything, let’s not go to that extent. Satan likes it when we’re afraid because he can simply claim something is his to keep us from using it for our own benefit.Of course, if the Holy Spirit tells you something is satanic, then get rid of it, but if the thing was own by an evil person and the Holy spirit has not told you to throw it out, then pray for all your things, ask the blood of Jesus to cover them.

  78. Idk says:

I never said that Christ was like a care bear. Rather, the show teaches kids how be kind, loving, caring, qualities that Christ wants us to have

  79. Summer says:

A question about group psychotherapy: Can you explain to me why this should be occult? How do I understand this?

    • Someone may come along with a better answer, but this is our reply.

The Bible tells us: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.” (1 John 4:1) This is because if it is not of God, it is of the Enemy. So, it is of God, or not and if not, then what is it of?

Some have found that group therapy has worked for them. There is a type of power in a number of people being together but others have said group therapy works because people have to face their fears and stand up and tell the group things that they would rather not – which can have adverse effects in itself – and the shock can be cathartic.

Such groups can be – and are – used by predators of one type or another looking for potential victims, so providing a type of feeding ground. That in particular has been found by some researchers to be a huge problem with Alcoholics Anonymous and the writer personally knows two people who have had that experience themselves. Even though AA is supposed to be founded on a belief in God, some of the teaching conflicts with what the Bible says. One way or another, demons are always involved in these matters.

The Bible tells us what to do if we need healing. Whether an individual or a group, no one knows and understands our problems and their causes in the way that God does. So it would seem more sensible, particularly if we are believers, to go to God in prayer and have faith that he can and will give us whatever healing we need, rather than turn to some form of group therapy.

      • Summer says:

Thank you very much! Does that also apply to individual psychotherapies?

        • Depending greatly on the type of therapy and the therapist, if someone is in a difficult situation, it could be very helpful to have a supportive listener and/or someone more knowledgeable or experienced to explain things that have happened or that are happening in our lives that we cannot understand.

Sadly, these days, for some of us, churches and pastors, teachers, older relatives, trusted friends, etc. are not always available or able to help.

Then it could be helpful – or not – to have someone to talk to. With so many variables, great care should be taken as to who one is listening to, so proceed with caution.

If someone does tell you the wrong thing, or give the wrong advice, it won’t do any good to go back to them and say “But you told me…” because they can say OK, I was wrong – but then you didn’t have to listen to what I told you.

It could be problematical if the counselling goes into things already covered in the Bible, to do with belief systems and lifestyle, etc. Especially if the counselling is one of the occult or New Age types of therapy, or if the counsellor is involved in the occult or New Age. (Some would say that’s the same thing but both are mentioned for the sake of clarity.)

Then, even if a counsellor is Christian, as Jesus prophesied, so many are being deceived by false doctrine such as the pre-tribulation rapture.

Often counsellors are paid, so in a way that would put them in a position of being a hireling according to John 10 and the parable of the Good Shepherd.

We can pray about our troubles and ask God to show us the source of the problem/s and/or help us find a resolution. This may be seen by some as weakness, but God wants us to go to him for help.

The Bible says: “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” (Psalm 55:22)

God said he will instruct us: “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” (Psalms 32:8)

Scripture also specifically says we can pray to ask God to give us more faith, more peace, more discernment, more strength to bear and more grace to endure.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10)

“Counsellor” and “Prince of Peace” are among the titles of Jesus, and there can be no better:

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, ALL POWER is given to me in heaven and in earth.” (Matthew 28:18)

“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:14-16)

Last but not least, we have the Holy Spirit:

          The True Holy Spirit

Here’s some more of what the Bible has to say about counselling:

What the KJV Bible says about counselling

  80. No name says:

Okay! I understand that we live under God’s grace. We don’t follow worldly and sinful practice. It is only God’s responsible to fight for us as true children and He will against enemies (spirits/devils/demons/bad spirits/etc) and He will set us free. We should trust in God and hold His Hand and depend on Him. Read His words. Don’t worry about things (whatever you lists on it that topic). I remember the Lord delivered me from them in 2017, but I don’t bring them up. I just trust in Him that He’s only fighting for us until we go heavens or Lord comes. He’s very good and faithful to us. Don’t panic too much about this topic. I encourage you to read His words. Don’t deceptive! Read His words instead of those lists/rules by men own minds-teaching. I will forsake Satan and evil angels and devils and etc.

I recommend you all to read the book, “The Heart of Addiction: A Biblical Perspective by Mark Shaw.”

I encourage you to trust HIS WORDS instead of earth things/spirits things/blah to etc.

    • Thank you for your comment. Please would you clarify what you have said. On one hand you seem to agree with the list, but, on the other, you seem to be saying it’s not necessary as we can have things that are not godly in our homes or in our lives and it’s all under the blood, or it’s all covered by grace – as long as we trust in God’s word, it’s ok.

But – and it’s a big but – God tells us in his word to have no part in the things of the devil and there are many Bible references listed at the beginning of the article that say this in different ways. So then which do you believe is true? Do you believe we should check what’s in our life and in our home and how we spend our time and what we give our time and attention to etc. – as in what we idolize? Do you believe we should jettison things that could be classed as devilish, or occult, etc. – or not?

Hi good day! I have a question, if my ancestors has a evil bloodline, for example, my ancestors (Grandparents, Great Grandparents, and etc) on the parent’s side either mother or father and my grandparents, greatparents, and etc have a very evil/bad attitude and it has passed on to me and I could feel the bloodline influence from my ancestors and I have a similar trait from them and I want to get rid of this evil bloodline that I have right now, what can I do to get rid of my curse bloodline ancestors? Thank You So Much for reading my question, I will wait for your reply.

    • Thank you for your comment. There are some prayers on this link which should help.

There are many other renunciation prayers available which can be found via Google, such as those at Kanaan Ministries as per the following link.

Prayer to Renounce Generational Family Iniquity

      Renunciation Prayers at Kanaan Ministries

Especially if you know your family has been involved in any form of witchcraft, freemasonry, etc. it would be good idea to say renunciation prayers specifically for those things.

In fact, most families have relatives who have been involved in the occult, etc. but often kept quiet and not known by others, so it’s best for most people to say the prayers anyway.

Other than that, just general deliverance, studying the Bible, and etc.

Scripture tells us we can take things to God in prayer, whatever worries and suffering we have caused by what has happened to us in our lives and hand it over to him.

If you have a good church and pastor, that’s great because many don’t. Perhaps even most don’t these days. Many churches have fallen – or are fallling away – and as a result in some cases, relationships and etc. have become difficult to navigate.

Youtube can be helpful but it is very important to avoid any false doctrine such as the pre-tribulation rapture which, sadly, is rife these days even among teachers who know the Bible very well.

As for everyone, beware of false teachers and perhaps also avoid lifestyle coaches, counsellers, etc. as it’s best to go to God direct through Jesus.

It may also help if you look up some testimonies of people who have been through similar situations on Youtube or the Precious-Testimonies where they are listed by subject.

If you believe you have suffered – or are suffering – from narcissistic abuse then there’s lots of information available about that today on Youtube and elsewhere, but again be careful as some do not give correct information. Les Carter of Surviving Narcissism is one of the best.

  83. J Win says:

Why have you put weather vanes on the list? I found one in my house and thought to destroy it.

    • From: Ancient Origins Of Weathervanes

Originally, people tied strings or cloth to the tops of buildings so that they could see which way the wind was blowing. Later, banners became a popular ornament, and that’s where we get the “vane” in weathervane; an Old English word that meant “banner” or “flag.”

One of the earliest examples of an actual weathervane — not simply a piece of cloth or a banner — was atop the Tower of the Winds, a First Century B.C. octagonal tower in Athens, Greece that was topped by a bronze wind vane in the shape of Triton, the sea god. This vane was designed so that Triton, who was holding a rod in his hand, would turn so that the rod pointed in the direction of the blowing wind.

Before too long, weathervanes, like the one atop the Tower of the Winds, spread throughout Europe, featuring prominently on top of towers and church steeples. They had a variety of different adornments — often a cross or an image of a patron saint, if the weathervane was on a church or cathedral — but they all served the same purpose, which was to turn and point in the direction of the wind.

To understand how the rooster took over as the favorite weathervane topper, it is important to tell the story of St. Peter after the Last Supper. In the biblical passages describing these events, it was said that Peter would deny Jesus three times “before the rooster crowed.” Because of this, the rooster became known to Christians as the symbol of St. Peter.

Sometime between 590 and 604 A.D., Pope Gregory I, took this a step farther, declaring that the rooster, emblem of St. Peter, was the most suitable symbol for Christianity. It is thought that this declaration led to the first roosters appearing on top of weathervanes.

In the 9th century, Pope Nicholas made the rooster official. His decree was that all churches must display the rooster on their steeples or domes as a symbol of Peter’s betrayal of Jesus. In accordance with the decree, churches started using weathervanes with the rooster.

      • Otto_Didactyl says:

That’s a good interpretation but there are others. A weather vane that checked wind direction was secondary, now we have a disconnected apparatus called a lightening rod but originally they were the same. The term ‘vane’ is better spelled as ‘Vein’, bc the energy harnessed from the atmosphere is lifeblood. The rooster is a common symbol on weather veins bc the rooster worships the Sun, the same reason he is featured in the Jesus story. Rooster symbolism is much older than Christianity. All he has is his crow and he offers it every morning. Plus he has a crown, more Sun symbolism
